US Army Publishes Report On Terrorist & Vegetarian Use of Twitter

by Peter on October 27, 2008

Our hard-earned taxpayer dollars are being spent employing military personnel to monitor messages of U.S. Citizens on Twitter, a popular social networking site.

Army officials from the 304th Ml Bn OSINT Team have been monitoring Twitter and have noted in their report that Twitter was a tool utilized by protesters at the Republican National Convention.

Although US Army personnel should be hunting and killing terrorists in foreign countries, they have “Red Teams” reading Twitter messages of “vegetarian” activist groups, to name one militant radical group cited in the report.

Essentially, the report clearly implies that US citizen communication on Twitter is being monitored and studied by our own military.
