“Fire Watch”

My fellow United States Marines know what I’m referring  to when I use the term “Fire Watch”.

Every night while a Platoon of 60 or so Marines are sound asleep, there’s always 1 or 2 on guard for the Platoon’s safety & security.  They vigilantly keep a watchful eye for potential enemy fire, guarding the perimeter while everyone else rests and relaxes in preparation for the coming battle  — exactly why the USMC started calling it “FireWatch” a couple of hundred years ago.

To my point:  There are millions of people who are dependent on a safe, secure, happy and peaceful life, all of whom maintain a positive attitude and a strong desire to be productive citizens.  Essentially, they’re societal members of the aforementioned Platoon, guarded by the watchful and vigilant eye of the FireWatch.

In order for civilization to function in our current fragile state, there needs to be a select few of us who must remain awake and assume the guardian responsibility of the FireWatch; to protect member’s of each Platoon while we rest & recover.  When the FireWatch discovers danger and sounds the alarm, the Platoon must awaken, stand & fight for it’s own survival.  Sleep is not an option.

For several years leading up to the mess we’re in, that’s been my self-guiding principle; to live an honest, productive life while always maintaining a vigilant watchful eye over society at large; primarily because we’re most vulnerable as our majority sleeps.

Alarmists can always be heard shouting “Wake-Up!” as they attempt to get their point across to the sleeping populous.  The masses are generally oblivious to their surroundings and typically ignore warning signs, as if to tell the FireWatch, “shhhhh….we’re trying to sleep!”

As a member of the so-called Platoon, we must never ignore the importance and credibility of the FireWatch.  In today’s society, Firewatch’s come in many different forms but are most reliably found in the “alternative media” sources that now represent an exploding emergence.  The global elite are petrified. The alternative media is the global elite’s greatest obstacle to taking total control over our Platoon’s, yet society’s designated FireWatch’s are now desperately sounding the alarm to awaken the defiant Platoon from a deep, sound sleep.

Sleep well, but when the FireWatch shouts, “ENEMY FIRE!” rise up & fight to the death; Always remember, our survival as a Platoon depends on it.
