Haiti Earthquake Survivors Have Better Odds In A U.S. War Zone

by Peter on January 19, 2010

It would be a tragedy of epic proportions if this woman survives being buried for 7 days, and then dies due to lack of medical supplies.

She actually had a much better chance of survival if she was “collateral damage” in a US occupied war zone. In any one of the US’s active war zones, she’d be greeted and showered by humans, medical supplies, food, equipment, and a big, fat, multi-trillion dollar war chest.

The USA has been disgustingly incompetent in it’s approach to providing emergency relief, and please, don’t even bother to say, “…well Haiti is not our country and we can’t be the savior of the entire world…”

My rebuttal is very obvious: “Not our country? Neither is Iraq or Afghanistan…we’re only willing to be the ‘savior of the world’ if there’s a buck in it for us.”
