A 5.9 magnitude earthquake shook Southern California on Monday night at 9:26 PST.
The quake was located 5 miles southeast of Ocotillo, CA — a very deserted part of the state. The earthquake was felt in Los Angeles — 200 miles north of the epicenter. The jolt was felt stronger in San Diego, but reports of significant rolling sensation was felt as far Victorville, California.
No reports of damages or injuries have been reported as of 9:34 PST.
Smaller earthquakes have been hitting Southern California since late May. A 4.4 earthquake shook Riverside, CA over the weekend.
60 miles away from tonight’s quake, in early April, a 7.0 earthquake shook Baja California.
