What unites murderers like Gendron, and the long list of white supremacist attackers he cited with admiration, with the mainstream of the Republican party is the dream of a white nation,\u201d wrote Talia Lavin.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/politics\/political-commentary\/buffalo-shooter-white-supremacist-great-replacement-donald-trump-1353509\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/politics\/political-commentary\/buffalo-shooter-white-supremacist-great-replacement-donald-trump-1353509\/ noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-185314\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/api-assets.infowars.com\/2022\/05\/skajhflqeuglh.jpg?ssl=1\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/api-assets.infowars.com\/2022\/05\/skajhflqeuglh-300x158.jpg 300w, https:\/\/api-assets.infowars.com\/2022\/05\/skajhflqeuglh-768x404.jpg 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/api-assets.infowars.com\/2022\/05\/skajhflqeuglh.jpg?ssl=1 1000w\" alt=\"\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Lavin goes on to argue that Trump\u2019s populist politics and <em>Fox News<\/em>\u2018 coverage of white replacement in America set the stage for racist violence perpetrated by the likes of the Buffalo shooter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDonald Trump\u2019s ascendance was a key marker of the force of white racial panic; from the moment he launched his candidacy, his overt racism set the party\u2019s agenda, and from the very first, his rhetoric directly&nbsp;provoked racist violence,\u201d Lavin wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Republican Party\u2019s embrace of nativism has been more of a full-on dash than a slow slide, and it has been catalyzed by the vast constellation of right-wing media. Chief among these is the juggernaut that is Fox News. As a&nbsp;<em>New York Times&nbsp;<\/em>analysis revealed, the network\u2019s flagship prime-time show,&nbsp;<em>Tucker Carlson Tonight,&nbsp;<\/em>has an obsession with replacement theory: In more than 400 shows the newspaper analyzed, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/opinion\/tucker-carlson-immigration-demographic-change-democrats-elections\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Carlson evoked the idea of forced demographic change<\/a> through immigration and other methods.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But <em>Rolling Stone<\/em> glosses over two very important facts.<\/p>\n<p>First, the Buffalo shooter not only rejected conservative politics and media like <em>Fox News<\/em>, but described himself in a 180-page manifesto censored online as a \u201cleftist authoritarian\u201d and a \u201cgreen nationalist\u201d who subscribed to communism.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">If you want to know where this guy falls on the political spectrum. Pretty insane, right?<\/p>\n<p>Well that\u2019s essentially what\u2019s happening, but talking about it puts you in the \u201cconspiracy theorist\u201d and \u201cwhite supremacist\u201d camp.<\/p>\n<p>Instead of addressing the root of these manufactured demographic changes, which are the radical liberal policies themselves, the Buffalo shooter, unfortunately, chose to embrace violence instead, and that\u2019s terrible for the country, but great for the media to use as a weapon against its political opposition.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, Demcorats are already exploiting the tragic
