{"id":3963,"date":"2022-06-07T20:56:26","date_gmt":"2022-06-07T20:56:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/petersantilli.com\/?p=3963"},"modified":"2022-06-07T20:57:15","modified_gmt":"2022-06-07T20:57:15","slug":"another-brit-recommends-gun-grab-bbc-reporter-u-s-should-just-ban-all-guns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/petersantilli.com\/?p=3963","title":{"rendered":"Another Brit Recommends Gun-Grab: BBC Reporter \u2013 U.S. Should Just Ban All Guns"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Video: BBC Reporter To MSNBC \u2013 U.S. Should Just Ban All Guns<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"MRC TV video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mrctv.org\/embed\/570934\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Appearing on MSNBC\u2019s Morning Joe, a BBC reporter appeared completely confounded as to why the U.S. government hasn\u2019t just banned guns altogether like the UK did in the 1990s.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>BBC reporter Katty Kay, who was brought on to talk about the <a href=\"https:\/\/summit.news\/2022\/06\/06\/the-strange-jubilee\/\">Queen\u2019s Jubilee<\/a>, was used by Joe Scarborough to hammer home the point that all the British people he knows keep asking him \u201cwhat\u2019s wrong with you Americans and your guns?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe contrast, and it\u2019s between the United States and Great Britain, is so striking, considering we share so much in common,\u201d Scarborough continued, adding \u201cBut in this one area, it\u2019s just \u2014 the difference is just shocking, isn\u2019t it?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kay agreed, adding \u201cthis is making it\u00a0very hard for allies of America, friends of America, people who love this country as I do, who\u2019ve lived here for very long, to defend the country\u00a0at the moment, when every single morning, we wake up and there is another mass shooting.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She continued, \u201cwe keep getting asked, what is going on in that country? Why can\u2019t they fix this? In the UK, you know this, Joe, they fixed it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a conservative government that fixed the United Kingdom\u2019s gun problem\u00a0in 1980 after a mass shooting. They banned assault weapons,\u201d Kay proclaimed.<\/p>\n<p>The reporter added that \u201cIn the 1990s, they banned handguns after one school shooting.
