O<\/span>n Fox News, where \u201cWhite Lives Matter\u201d seems to be worth celebrating, threatening \u201cdeath con 3\u201d on all Jewish people is a bridge too far.<\/p>\n The network spent a good part of last week hyping up<\/a> Kanye West\u2019s for sporting a \u201cWhite Lives Matter\u201d shirt at Paris Fashion Week<\/a>, complete with a two-night sit-down interview<\/a> on Tucker Carlson Tonight<\/em>. But in the days since, the hosts have slowly come to the realization that they may have chosen the wrong hero.<\/p>\n It started on Sunday, when Fox & Friends Weekend <\/em>hosts Will Cain, Pete Hegseth, and Rachel Campos-Duffy spent an early morning segment characterizing West\u2019s Instagram suspension\u2014for claiming that rapper Diddy was being controlled by Jewish people\u2014as \u201ctotally totalitarian,\u201d \u201ctotally anti-American,\u201d and \u201cjust wrong.\u201d They also suggested that West never would have been censored on social media had he not appeared on Tucker Carlson\u2019s show.<\/p>\n Just two hours after declaring West a victim of unfair censorship, the Fox hosts were forced to make a sharp reversal. After learning what he had actually posted, Cain called the comments \u201cshocking\u201d and \u201cpretty ugly,\u201d while Hegseth said called them \u201cunfortunate.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe talked about it earlier without knowing about these tweets and saying of course they\u2019re going to put a target\u2014after what he said with Tucker, there\u2019s going to be a target, no doubt,\u201d Hegseth said. \u201cBut in this particular case, I mean he brought the target with that.\u201d<\/p>\n Cain then made the roundabout argument that if you really want to \u201cexpose\u201d racism and antisemitism, then society should not \u201cconstantly silence, censor and cancel\u201d those who espouse it. Doing so will leave us unaware of what is lurking \u201cunder the surface.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a good point,\u201d Hegseth said.<\/p>\n The backtracking continued on Monday, when Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo expressed both her support for West\u2019s fashion statement and disgust at the antisemitism on his Twitter account. \u201cThere was nothing wrong with his \u2018White Lives Matter\u2019 shirt, okay?
