The campaign for governor of Arizona has gotten intense and now it has gotten terrifying.<\/p>\n

The FBI is investigating a suspicious package that was sent to Republican candidate Kari Lake\u2019s campaign offices, The Daily Mail reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement was at the offices in Phoenix from 10pm to 5am after Lake\u2019s team was sent two envelopes with the substance and abusive messages.<\/em><\/p>\n

Her campaign believes this was a \u2018terroristic attack, trying to intimidate Kari and the campaign staff\u2019.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cYesterday, one of Kari\u2019s staffers opened up an envelope that had a suspicious white powder in it and had a letter in there with a bunch of vulgarities and ranting and raving about Kari,\u201d a source close to the campaign said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe employee then noticed second package that was exactly like the first one she had opened and she reported it,\u201d the source said.<\/p>\n

The FBI, a hazmat team and bomb squad responded to the scene and the FBI took the substance.<\/p>\n

\u201cOfficers responded to a found property call at an office building near 40th Street and Camelback Road. When officers arrived they learned there were suspicious items located inside the mail. Additional resources responded to collect the items and secure the area,\u201d Phoenix Police Department Sergeant Phil Krynsky said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere have been no reports of injury and the investigation remains active,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Lake has a secret for Wyoming GOP Rep. Liz Cheney. Lake revealed that\u00a0Cheney\u2019s $500,000 smear campaign against her has actually helped her campaign.<\/p>\n

Lake trolled Cheney by sending her a \u201cthank you\u201d letter for her $500,000 ad buy against Lake. She jokingly called \u201cthe Cheney anti-endorsement the gift that keeps on giving.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cheney, who was blown out in the Wyoming primary in August and will be out of office in a few months, has begun supporting Democrats running against Republicans in several races.\u00a0Cheney\u2019s Great Task PAC announced on Friday it would spend more than $500,000 on broadcast and online ads against Arizona Republican candidates Lake and Mark Finchem, the GOP secretary of state nominee.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have a candidate for Governor, Kari Lake, you have a candidate for Secretary of State, Mark Finchem, both of whom have said that they will only honor the results of an election if they agree with it,\u201d Cheney said in the ad. \u201cAnd if you care about the survival of our Republic, we cannot give people power who will not honor elections.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the letter to Cheney, which was addressed to \u201cDefeated Member of Congress,\u201d Lake noted that Cheney\u2019s ad buys led to \u201cskyrocketing\u201d campaign donations and increased website traffic.<\/p>\n

Lake said: \u201cThank you for your generous in-kind contribution to my campaign. Your recent television ad urging Arizonans not to vote for me is doing just the opposite. Our campaign donations are skyrocketing and our website nearly crashed from traffic as people rushed to learn more about my plan to put Arizona First and join our historic political movement.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIn fact, my team tells me your commercial should add another 10 points to our lead,\u201d Lake added. \u201cI guess that\u2019s why they call the Cheney anti-endorsement the gift that keeps on giving.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile we appreciate your in-kind contribution, the $500,000 ad buy likely exceeds Arizona\u2019s $5,300 individual contribution limit,\u201d Lake noted.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you again for the huge boost to our campaign! Enjoy your forced retirement from politics,\u201d Lake concluded. \u201cI know America will rest easier knowing that one more warmonger is out of office.\u201d<\/p>\n

The letter ended with a postscript that read, \u201cMake Arizona Great Again!\u201d<\/p>\n

During an appearance earlier this week on Fox News, Lake spoke with host Tucker Carlson about how Cheney\u2019s anti-Trump efforts have only helped her campaign.<\/p>\n

Carlson asked: \u201cI\u2019ve never voted for a Democrat. Well, of course, Liz Cheney is a left-wing Democrat who won\u2019t stop lying. So, in response to that ad, Kari Lake wrote this letter to Liz Cheney, it begins: \u2018Dear Liz, thank you for your generous in-kind contribution to my campaign. Your recent TV ad urging Arizonans not to vote for me is doing just the opposite. Our donations are skyrocketing and our website nearly crashed from the traffic.\u2019 Kari Lake is running for governor of Arizona, as noted, she joins us tonight. Kari Lake, thanks so much for coming on. Is that true?\u201d<\/p>\n

Lake didn\u2019t mince her words with her response.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s true. Liz Cheney is now officially my biggest fundraiser to date. We\u2019ve raised a half million dollars since she did the anti-endorsement and people still flocking to our website KariLake.com and donating. It\u2019s been an incredible boom for us in fundraising, so I have to extend a big thank you to Liz. At this rate, Tucker, we might have to invite her to our inaugural ball because we\u2019ll have to thank her for bringing in so much fundraising money for us,\u201d Lake began.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m dangerous to people like Liz Cheney and the folks that she hangs out with and they want to stop people like me,\u201d Lake added.<\/p>\n
