    With the Supreme Court on Friday officially publishing its historic ruling overturning Roe vs. Wade, crisis pregnancy centers, Catholic churches, and pro-life institutions across the country are bracing for a coming “Night of Rage”.

    According to Newsweek and others, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has communicated specific threats to pro-life groups and Catholic leaders, after suspicious individuals and groups have in some instances been found “casing” the offices and buildings of pro-life organizations:

    An internal document obtained by Newsweek outlines intelligence shared by the Department of Homeland Security with the Catholic Church of a planned “Night of Rage,” targeting churches and pregnancy centers over their opposition to abortion rights. The document sheds light on how law enforcement and the church are bracing for backlash after a leaked opinion showed the Supreme Court preparing to rescind federal abortion rights.

     

    Two days ago, we detailed an initiative by the pro-abortion group “Jane’s Revenge” to widely distribute flyers in the D.C. are after recently declaring “open season” on pro-life groups and crisis pregnancy centers.

    It appears there’s similar “planning” across various cities and states, particularly California, according to Newsweek, which details more from the DHS memo:

    Labeled an “urgent memo,” the document is from the Diocese of Stockton, California, and is directed to all clergy, as well as parish and pastoral staff. The memo states that Jesse Rangel, a DHS agent, told the diocese that federal law enforcement has discovered a manifesto from an “extremist group” calling for attacks on churches beginning at 8 p.m. the evening the court issues its opinion.

    The memo instructs churches which have active services during the eve and days following the Supreme Court decision to “Make sure you have ushers and or security available during your services and perhaps identify who among your volunteers and parishioners are law enforcement.”

    Some national pro-life organizations have reported this week that they have been contacted by federal government officials, warning them to take steps amid threats of “extreme violence”…

     

    The memo adds: “Suspicious activity would include someone asking out of place questions (Largest Mass times? Doors always open? Do you have security?), looking around church property, protestors, and general disturbances.”

    Over the past several days and weeks since the draft ruling on Roe v. Wade was leaked to Politico, Catholic churches have reported a spike in targeted vandalism across the country, which has often included pro-abortion graffiti and threats. 

    These messages showed up on sidewalks and corners of D.C. this week…

    An ominous sign of what’s about to come going into Friday night and the weekend? Like the summer of 2020, is CNN about to treat us to live coverage of what some pundits dubbed “peaceful riots”?

    Will the Supreme Court officially overturn Roe v. Wade by the end of this week?  Back in May, a draft opinion that indicated that the Supreme Court was going to overturn Roe v. Wade got leaked to the public, and there have been endless protests since that time.  Pro-abortion activists have been trying to get the justices to change course, because a draft opinion is definitely not a final opinion.  They were hoping that one or more justices would flip before the ruling is official.

    If that wasn’t in the cards, many of them were hoping that Chief Justice John Roberts would decide to join the majority and assign the opinion to himself.  Needless to say, an opinion written by Roberts would look far different from an opinion written by Samuel Alito.  There is so much that could be going on behind the scenes, and we just won’t know what to think until the final opinion is unveiled.

    Could we be right on the verge of that happening?

    Normally, the Supreme Court does not issue opinions on Friday.  However, if you go to the official website of the Supreme Court you will notice that this upcoming Friday has now been designated as a day when opinions will be issued.

    This change was just made, and it has many speculating that this will be the day when the decision that overturns Roe v. Wade will finally be made official.

    In Washington, announcements that are intended to fly under the radar are often made on Friday.  Of course there is no way that a Supreme Court decision that overturns Roe v. Wade could fly under the radar, but officials may be hoping that timing the announcement just before the weekend will help to reduce the intensity of any immediate protests a little bit.

    Personally, I don’t see that happening.

    But at least the justices may have enough time to get out of town for the weekend before the streets around the Supreme Court building go absolutely bonkers.

    Senator Ted Cruz is very much looking forward to having Roe v. Wade overturned, but he is warning that there will be “organized riots”…

    “We’re gonna see the Left lose their minds. We’re gonna see, sadly, organized riots. I fear we’re going to see organized violence. We’re deliberately going to see violence used as a tool of political terrorism by the Left.”

    I very much concur with Senator Cruz.

    Once the radicals on the left realize that any hope of altering the decision is gone, they are going to throw a massive temper tantrum.

    In one of his recent articles, Dr. Michael Brown warned that “it’s going to get very ugly on the streets of America”…

    You don’t need to be a rocket scientist or a prophet to know that, in the aftermath of Roe v. Wade, it’s going to get very ugly on the streets of America.

    As I tweeted, “The overturning of Roe v. Wade is revealing the real spirit behind abortion. It is murderous, violent, angry, and full of venom and hate. The attacks on churches and pro-life clinics are par for the course. Abortion has become a pseudo-religious rite; it was never a moral right.”

    Of course we have already seen pro-abortion activists commit quite a few acts of violence, and I have discussed some of these in previous articles.

    In certain cases, pro-life organizations have actually been firebombed, and a militant group known as “Jane’s Revenge” has taken responsibility for several of those attacks.

    And now it is being reported that law enforcement officials are deeply concerned about new threats that the group is making…

    Several branches of law enforcement are monitoring the activity of a radical abortion rights organization, Jane’s Revenge, which has promised violence against anti-abortion groups following an imminent decision from the Supreme Court regarding Roe v. Wade.

    The militant group has already carried out acts of vandalism and firebombings against churches and crisis pregnancy centers, or CPCs, that try to dissuade women from seeking abortions and provide anti-abortion counseling to pregnant women, as well as provide some medical services, such as sonograms. Jane’s Revenge has issued public communiques detailing its plans to target CPCs that “impersonate healthcare providers in order to harm the vulnerable.”

    And apparently Jane’s Revenge has been posting flyers around D.C. that are calling for a “night of rage” once the Supreme Court decision becomes official.

    Many Americans will greatly celebrate when Roe v. Wade is overturned, and rightly so.

    It will definitely be a major move in the right direction for our country.

    But the truth is that the battle over abortion is just beginning.  After Roe v. Wade is overturned, each state will get to make their own laws regarding abortion, and at this point the vast majority of the population wants abortion to remain legal.

    I wish that was not true, but it is true.

    And the younger that you are, the more likely you are to be pro-abortion.

    There are millions upon millions of young adults in America that are unashamedly pro-abortion even though they openly acknowledge that abortion kills children.  You can see a perfect example of what I am talking about in this video.

    Overturning Roe v. Wade is not going to solve this problem.

    It is in the hearts and minds of our young people where the battle will be won or lost.

    If we stay on the path that we are currently on, there is no future for our country.

    In the coming weeks, we are going to have a national debate about abortion like we have never had before.

    There will be lots of protests, and unfortunately there will be lots of violence.

    We are going to get to see exactly how this nation feels about abortion, and the whole world will be watching.

    Will America-First News Outlets Make it to 2023?

    Things are looking grim for conservative and populist news sites.

    There’s something happening behind the scenes at several popular conservative news outlets. 2021 was bad, but 2022 is proving to be disastrous for news sites that aren’t “playing ball” with the corporate media narrative. It’s being said that advertisers are cracking down, forcing some of the biggest ad networks like Google and Yahoo to pull their inventory from conservative outlets. This has had two major effects. First, it has cooled most conservative outlets from discussing “taboo” topics like Pandemic Panic Theater, voter fraud, or The Great Reset. Second, it has isolated those ad networks that aren’t playing ball.

    Certain topics are anathema for most ad networks. Speaking out against vaccines or vaccine mandates is a certain path to being demonetized. Highlighting voter fraud in the 2020 and future elections is another instant advertising death penalty. Throw in truthful stories about climate change hysteria, Critical Race Theory, and the border crisis and it’s easy to understand how difficult it is for America-First news outlets to spread the facts, share conservative opinions, and still pay the bills.

    Without naming names, I have been told of several news outlets who have been forced to either consolidate with larger organizations or who have backed down on covering certain topics out of fear of being “canceled” by the ad networks. I get it. This is a business for many of us and it’s not very profitable. Those of us who do this for a living are often barely squeaking by, so loss of additional revenue can often mean being forced to make cuts. That means not being able to cover the topics properly. Its a Catch-22: Tell the truth and lose the money necessary to keep telling the truth, or avoid the truth and make enough money to survive. Those who have chosen survival simply aren’t able to spread the truth properly.

    We will never avoid the truth. The Lord will provide if it is His will. Our job is simply to share the facts, spread the Gospel, and educate as many Americans as possible while exposing the forces of evil.

    While there is growing speculation that federal agents and Capitol Police were involved in instigating acts of violence during the Jan. 6, 2021 protests and recording responses for the purposes of entrapment, evidence now proves that “plainclothes” members of a special Electronic Surveillance Unit (ESU) were embedded among the protesters for the purposes of conducting video surveillance. Evidence also points to a day of security deficiencies and police provocation for the purpose of entrapment.

    According to a report—First Amendment Demonstrations, issued Jan. 3, 2021, by Chief of Police Robert Contee of the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), Homeland Security Bureau, Special Operations Division, obtained exclusively by The Epoch Times—the MPD began to activate Civil Disturbance Unit (CDU) platoons on Jan. 4, 2021. Full activation of 28 platoons was scheduled to occur on the following two days.

    According to the Department of Justice website, “A CDU is composed of law enforcement officers who are trained to respond to protests, demonstrations, and civil disturbances for the purpose of preventing violence, destruction of property, and unlawful interference with persons exercising their rights under law.”

    The objective of MPD was “to assist with the safe execution of any First Amendment demonstration and ensure the safety of the participants, public, and the officers.” CDU personnel and Special Operations Division  (SOD) members were to “monitor for any demonstration and/or violent activity and respond accordingly,” according to the report.

    There has been speculation that federal agents and Capitol Police were involved in instigating acts of violence during the protests for the purposes of entrapment. As Red State reported in October 2021, “multiple surveillance videos show masked men opening up the doors to the U.S. Capitol Building to allow protesters to enter. In fact, one video shows them entering while Capitol Police officers simply stand around. Yet, we have no idea who those men are.”

    The ‘Covert Cadre’ of ‘Provocateurs’

    On a Dec.  7, 2021, episode of Tucker Carlson Tonight, the attorney for several Jan. 6 prisoners, Joseph McBride, identified a man tagged on the internet by so-called “Sedition Hunters” as “Red-Faced 45.” The man, dressed in red from head to toe—with even his face painted red—appears in a video engaging in continuous dialogue with uniformed personnel and others whom McBride insists are agents embedded in the crowd. McBride said the man is “clearly a law enforcement officer.”

    “He passes out weapons, sledgehammers, poles, mace. Some of those things come in contact with some of the other protesters who have subsequently been charged with possessing dangerous weapons and are using dangerous weapons at the Capitol. That is clearly entrapment.

    That is clearly the government creating conditions of dangerousness and entrapping members of the crowd to possess weapons and possibly use them for reasons that we cannot comprehend.”

    On Jan. 13, 2021, J. Michael Waller, senior analyst for Strategy at the Center for Security Policy, published a first-hand account of his observations. Waller is also President of Georgetown Research, a political risk and private intelligence company in Washington, D.C.; and was founding editorial board member of NATO’s peer-reviewed Defence Strategic Communications journal (2015–2018), and a senior analyst with Wikistrat. He is convinced people were embedded in the crowd to execute “an organized operation planned well in advance of the January 6 joint session of Congress.”

    According to Waller, a “covert cadre” of people were scattered throughout the crowd to encourage people toward the Capitol, including “fake Trump protesters” he suspected were ANTIFA “wearing Trump or MAGA hats backwards.”

    The Epoch Times reported on Jan. 1 that senior federal law enforcement officials refused to answer questions about an Arizona man named Ray Epps, captured on video the day before the rally wearing a Trump hat repeatedly encouraging protesters to “go into the Capitol” the next day. Many were suspicious of him. Chants of “fed, fed, fed” drown him out. On Jan. 6, he is seen telling the crowd “we are going to the Capitol, where all of our problems are.”

    Epps is also seen standing before a bike rack barricade, whispering into the ear of a protester wearing his Trump hat backwards. Moments later, that man is joined by others in tearing down the barricade. Epps is then seen running with the crowd toward the Capitol Building. Despite the evidence, Epps has not had any charges filed against him and his photo has been removed from the government’s list of most-wanted people from the event.

    US Senate candidate from Missouri Eric Greitens released an ad on Monday showing the former Navy SEAL carrying a weapon and leading a group of armed soldiers  saying he is hunting RINOs (Republicans in name only.)

    The video has gone viral since it was posted at 8:30 a.m. CDT with well over one million views on Twitter.

    The Greitens campaign is encouraging supporters to become ‘RINO hunters.’ Facebook reportedly took down the ad.

    Twitter has chosen to leave the ad up but with a disclaimer and limitations on sharing and commenting.

    “I’m Eric Greitens, Navy SEAL, and today we’re going RINO hunting. The RINO feeds on corruption and is marked by the stripes of cowardice. (Flash bang grenades explode as military team and Greitens enters home.)  Join the MAGA crew. Get a RINO hunting permit. There’s no bagging limit, no tagging limit and it doesn’t expire until we save our country.”

    Eric Greitens responded to criticism from Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) who commented, “Let’s place the blame for this violent ad where it belongs, at the doorsteps of Kevin McCarthy & Mitch McConnell. They’ve failed to confront & condemn the MAGA radicals of their party. Now it’s out of control & threatens everyone’s freedom.” Greitens mockingly replied, “Did Fang Fang write this?”

    The left is in full meltdown over the symbolic ad — It’s all they have to talk about as the country burns around them and their policies.

    This afternoon the Greitens Campaign responded to critics of their new ad in a statement to The Gateway Pundit.

    From the Greitens Campaign:  “Woke, weak RINOs have surrendered to the radical Leftists at every turn.  We will send the RINOs home and replace them with true America First fighters!”

    Republican candidate for the US House and Paris hero Alex Bruesewitz added this.

    CNN analyst Phil Mudd sparred with Don Lemon Thursday over whether former President Donald Trump actually believed he won the 2020 election, or he simply did not want to relinquish power.

    During an analysis of the third House select committee hearing over the Capitol attack, Lemon invoked witness testimony.

    Former Trump attorney John Eastman allegedly told White House lawyer Eric Herschmann he did not care if challenging the election results ended violently.

    On Don Lemon Tonight, the host asked Mudd if he thought Trump knew the election was fair, but chose to accept potential violence to litigate the results.

    “Is it clear to you that Trump was also willing to accept violence to stay in power?” Lemon asked, to which Mudd responded, “Heck no.”

    Trump spokeswoman Liz Harrington weighed in on Lemon’s schooling.

    When even your CNN analysts say you have no case in your latest assault on President Trump, you know your case is lost.

    The real conspiracy was carried out by those who stole the 2020 Election, the Democrats, RINO leaders of the Republican Party, the liberal fake news media, Big Tech, the Justice Department, and several others.

    On March 9, 2017, then-FBI Director James Comey met with congressional leaders, the “Gang of 8,” to brief them on the status of their counterintelligence investigation of former President Donald Trump. He met first with Senate leaders and then with House leaders.

    Comey was armed with a seven-page memo containing talking points that had been prepared the previous day by former FBI lawyer Lisa Page.

    According to RealClearInvestigations’ Paul Sperry, the newly declassified memo and additional documents show that Comey “deceived the House, Senate and the Justice Department about the substance and strength of evidence” against Trump. Sperry reported that Page’s memo was “riddled with half-truths, outright falsehoods and critical omissions” and that Comey’s “misrepresentations” prompted both the Senate and the House to open investigations of their own.

    Comey told congressional leaders about reports the FBI had received in 2016 from a former confidential human source (who turned out to be Christopher Steele), which claimed that former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and junior campaign advisor Carter Page had allegedly conspired with the Russian government to sway the election.

    The informant, Comey explained, “told the FBI that Manafort initially ‘managed’ the relationship between Russian government officials and the Trump campaign, using Carter Page as an intermediary.”

    In addition, Comey told lawmakers that “[Carter] Page was reported to have had ‘secret meetings’ in early July 2016 with a named individual in Russia’s presidential administration during which they discussed Russia’s release of damaging information on Hillary Clinton in exchange for alterations to the GOP platform regarding U.S. policy towards Ukraine.”

    By the time of these briefings, the FBI already knew none of these allegations were true.

    In the memo, [Lisa] Page advised Comey that if pressed, he should tell lawmakers that “some” of the reporting “has been corroborated” and that the CHS’ “reporting in this matter is derived primarily from a Russian-based source.”

    At that point, none of the reporting had been corroborated. And we’ve known for a long time that none of it ever was corroborated. Also, both their CHS, Steele and Steele’s primary sub-source, Igor Danchenko, were America-based.

    Not only did Comey withhold their identities from the Gang of 8, he did not inform them that Danchenko worked for Steele, that Steele was collecting dirt for the Clinton campaign or that Steele did not have “any sources inside the Kremlin.”

    Danchenko was arrested in November of 2021, for lying to the FBI during multiple interviews in 2017 about “where and how he got his information,” The Washington Post reported.

    His was the third indictment in special counsel John Durham’s investigation into the origins of the FBI’s investigation into Trump-Russia collusion. His trial is set to begin on Oct. 11, according to Fox News. Sperry noted that Page’s memo was declassified as part of pre-trial discovery process.

    As mentioned earlier, Comey did not identify Steele or Danchenko by name to the lawmakers. He referred to Steele by the codename, “CROWN.” (As per screenshot.) Sperry pointed out that Steele had not worked for British Intelligence in years, but was likely trying to give the impression that the “dossier was a product of British intelligence.”

    Nor did he tell Congress that the FBI had fired Steele after he leaked to the media. Sperry concluded: “Comey hid the truth about his star informant from the nation’s top lawmakers.”

    The memo stated, “If asked about CROWN/Steele” by lawmakers, Comey was to tell them only that “CROWN, a former FBI CHS, is a former friendly foreign intelligence service employee who reported for about three years, and some of whose reporting has been corroborated.”

    None of that was true.

    At the same time, the FBI was submitting the dossier in their renewal applications to the FISA court for warrants to spy on Carter Page.

    Sperry reported that the former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and former counterintelligence official Peter Strzok misled former acting Attorney General Dana Boente during a March 6, 2017, briefing by referring to Steele’s dossier as “CROWN source reporting” as Comey would do three days later.

    “Seventeen months after the events of January 6th, Democrats are unable to offer solutions,” Trump said in a statement released through his Save America PAC.

    “They are desperate to change the narrative of a failing nation, without even making mention of the havoc and death caused by the Radical Left just months earlier. Make no mistake, they control the government. They own this disaster. They are hoping that these hearings will somehow alter their failing prospects.”

    Trump begins his rebuttal by taking on the Democrats directly:

    “Our nation is SUFFERING. Our economy is in the gutter. Inflation is rampant. Gas prices have reached an all-time high. Ships are unable to unload cargo. Families cannot get needed baby formula. We are an embarrassment around the world.”

    A certain Democrat once said, “It’s the economy, stupid.”

    Well, Trump states: “Democrats now seem to think that Americans are ‘stupid’. They are not. “

    “As we near the midterm elections, we’re watching the Swamp creatures circle the drain as true Americans step up to replace the corrupt Establishment with patriots who will fight for our freedoms,” Trump says in Monday’s 12-page statement.

    “People are desperate,” he adds, confirming the record low UMich sentiment readings last week and record low approval rating for President Biden.

    “Rather than solving problems, Democrats are rehashing history in hopes of changing the narrative,” Trump explains.

    Trump goes on to say that The January 6th ‘Unselect’ Committee is “disgracing everything we hold sacred about our Constitution.”

    MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — The Supreme Court could be poised to overturn Roe v. Wade as soon as Monday, June 13.

    According to CNN, the high court updated its calendar Thursday, June 9 to indicate decisions would be handed down Monday and Wednesday of the coming week.

    Justices have 29 opinions remaining to be delivered in the next month before its traditional summer break.

    A leaked draft opinion indicates that five justices were ready to wipe away the 50-year-old precedent set by Roe v. Wade.

    If overturned, Wisconsin will be left with an 1849 statute still on the books that could outlaw abortion statewide, and make performing an abortion a felony.

    In Wisconsin, legislators could repeal or amend the law. If major changes are made, demonstrations are expected nationwide. Those demonstrations are already happening in the Milwaukee area.

    With the potential for the supreme court to overturn constitutional protections for abortion, a few dozen activists came together Sunday, June 12 to raising awareness and advocate for reproductive rights in Wisconsin.

    The “Defend Roe” march was organized by Protect Women’s Rights MKE, in partnership with the Democratic Party of Milwaukee and Citizen Action of Wisconsin.

    The event began with several guest speakers, including State Assembly candidates, the Milwaukee Democrats chair, and State Treasurer, Sarah Godlewski.

    Protesters then marched alongside Highway 100.

    “It is crazy to me to think that I might have fewer rights than my grandmother,” said Godlewski. “We should not be going backwards, we should be going forward.”

    Protect Women’s Rights MKE is hosting rallies in suburban areas to provide education and reach potential voters.

    “When we’re coming to these more red-leaning areas, we have the opportunity to talk to people who may be on the fence and maybe don’t understand all of the ramifications if Roe is overturned, and how that will affect them directly, and try to educate them that it’s not just a single issue situation,” said organizer, Jennifer Clark.

    “We say that overturning Roe is not a big change. It is a big change when we are willing to put doctors in jail. It is a big change when there’s no exception for rape or for incest, and it is a big change when we are not allowing women to make these healthcare decisions. So we can’t take this as, this is going to allow us to go on as life as usual. It’s going to be a significant change that’s going to have adverse effects,” Godlewski said.

    Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers ordered a special legislative session for June 22 to discuss the state’s abortion law.

    Activists are planning to rally outside the state Capitol that day.

    “I want voters to be watching that, because they are a majority. A majority of Wisconsinites do not want roe overturned,” Godlewski said, “We want to be a welcoming state, that’s what we are. Women should have a voice when it comes to our healthcare decisions, and that’s what we’re going to continue to fight for.”

    The issue will be going to the polls in August. All four GOP primary candidates for Wisconsin governor support a ban on abortion, including in instances of rape or incest.

    Former Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch, Kevin Nicholson and newcomer Tim Michels have stated they oppose exceptions to include cases of rape or incest.

    “Every life is precious, and as governor, I will work with the legislature to ensure the lives of the most vulnerable are protected,” Michels said in a statement to CBS 58. “I believe whenever possible, we should always come down on the side of life.”

    State Rep. Tim Ramthun has described himself as “a hardcore 100% pro-life without exceptions,” in a video link posted on his campaign website as well as a statement regarding his stance on abortion.

    Wisconsin Republican Senator Ron Johnson previously voted “No” on codifying Roe.

    The national gas average hit a new record of $5.00 a gallon this week, and it doesn’t look like prices are going to fall anytime soon. Americans are frustrated with President Joe Biden’s lies about the economy, and many believe he is at fault for their wallets shrinking.

    A new poll conducted by the Trafalgar Group found that over 53 percent of people “believe the Biden administration is intentionally letting gas prices rise to make Americans use less fossil fuels.”

    While 56 percent of voters agreed that the high fuel prices is Biden’s fault.

    Gas prices have nearly doubled since Biden took office just over a year ago when the national average price was just $2.39.

    Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel called out Biden’s energy policies that have caused economic stress on Americans. “Joe Biden’s war on American energy has forced families across the country to empty their wallets to fill their tanks. Unfortunately, Biden is doubling-down on his disastrous agenda because he’s not the one paying the price, the American people are.”

    Since Biden has stepped foot into the Oval Office, he has cancelled the Keystone XL Pipeline, imposed restrictions on fossil fuel companies and banned all imports of Russian oil into the U.S., which all caused the spike in fuel prices. Yet, he continues to shift his blame elsewhere, from accusing Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, dubbed as “Putin’s Price Hike,” to saying oil companies and “their greed” are the reason for the pain at the pump.

    Backlash as Biden Says High Gas Prices Are Part of ‘Incredible Transition’

    President Joe Biden drew a biting rebuke on Twitter and Fox News after saying that record-high gas prices are part of an “incredible transition” away from fossil fuels.

    Biden made the comment during a press conference Monday in Tokyo, Japan, as part of a diplomatic trip to Asia. The president’s foes quickly pounced on the comment as proof that Biden’s clean-energy policies were woefully out of touch and harming the American public with heightened gas prices.

    Appearing at a press conference with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Biden was asked by a reporter if Americans should expect a recession as gas prices remain high and the Federal Reserve has raised interest rates to rein in historically high inflation.

    Biden said he didn’t expect a recession, pointing to the low unemployment rate and how America’s economy is growing faster than China’s for the first time in decades. While Biden acknowledged the U.S. has problems, he said they are “less consequential than the rest of the world has because of our internal growth and strength.”

    “And when it comes to the gas prices, we’re going through an incredible transition that is taking place that, God willing, when it’s over, we’ll be stronger and the world will be stronger and less reliant on fossil fuels when this is over,” said Biden.

    The national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline was $4.56 on Monday. In California, gas was pricier at $6.06 per gallon. In some places, a gallon costs more than the federal minimum wage of $7.25 an hour.

    Biden has laid out an ambitious plan to bolster the production of electric cars and infrastructure to support them. But Russia’s invasion of Ukraine caused Biden to pivot from his clean-energy ambitions to increase the supply of oil.

    Texas Senator Ted Cruz said on a Fox News appearance that Biden wasn’t troubled by the high price of gas.

    “He’s in Tokyo celebrating, saying ‘it’s an incredible transition,’” Cruz said. “Incredible for you! You fly a damn 747 where the taxpayers pay for your jet fuel. What Joe Biden is saying is, if you at home, if you drive a pickup truck, ‘to hell with you; you can’t drive your pickup truck. If you have a Suburban, you’ve got to get rid of that. We’re all getting Toyota Priuses.’”

    Florida Senator Rick Scott said on Twitter that Biden was celebrating Americans struggling to make ends meet.

    Other critics of the president also weighed in on Twitter.

    “How can the average person afford an $80k electric vehicle?” asked Twitter user Hawkc.

    Twitter user Sifrit Raesmusen said, “I identify my car as one that runs on hopes and dreams, so I’m good.”

    Twitter user Jose Ortega came to the president’s defense, writing, “Gas prices are up all over the world, has nothing to do with Biden.”

    Other Twitter users brought up the 2022 midterm elections.

    “Remember this and remember you can help create an incredible transition this November,” Twitter user zulupapaquebec wrote. “And an even more incredible one in 2024.”
