Special Counsel John Durham released his final, 306-page report investigating the FBI’s probe into former President Donald Trump’s alleged links to Russia.

The report was released almost exactly four years since the investigation was launched, on the order of Attorney General Bill Barr, in 2019.

FILE – Special counsel John Durham, the prosecutor appointed to investigate potential government wrongdoing in the early days of the Trump-Russia probe, leaves federal court in Washington, May 16, 2022. Durham ended his four-year investigation into possible FBI misconduct in its probe of ties between Russia and Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. The report Monday, May 15, 2023, from Durham offers withering criticism of the bureau but a meager court record that fell far short of the former president’s prediction he would uncover the “crime of the century.” (AP Photo/Manuel Balce Ceneta, File)

The report offers criticism of the FBI, finding that it caused “severe reputational harm” in its handling of the case, which was “seriously deficient” at key spots. Durham wrote that the FBI embraced “seriously flawed information” that fell short of the agency’s “own principles regarding objectivity and integrity.”

Durham also alleged hypocrisy on the FBI’s part, noting the contrast between its handling of accusations regarding foreign meddling in Trump and Hillary Clinton’s campaigns.

He found that the Steele Dossier, the casus beli for the investigation, was deeply flawed, and the FBI was unable to corroborate “a single substantive allegation. The agency went through with the investigation despite “a complete lack of information from the Intelligence Community that corroborated the hypothesis upon which the… investigation was predicated.”

RADIOACTIVE PANIC: Russians Missiles Hit Ukrainian Ammunition Depot in Khmelnytsky Causing Massive Explosion – Cache of British Depleted Uranium Tank Shells Destroyed – Gamma Radiation Spikes in the Region’s Atmosphere

May 15, 2023 at 07:29AM   RADIOACTIVE PANIC: Russians Missiles Hit Ukrainian Ammunition Depot in Khmelnytsky Causing Massive Explosion – Cache of British Depleted Uranium Tank Shells Destroyed – Gamma Radiation Spikes in the Region’s Atmosphere | The Gateway Pundit | by Paul Serran

The West’s proxy war against Russia in the Ukraine has led to progressively more deadly weapons systems and ammunition to be delivered to Zelensky’s Nazi regime.

Possibly, the most controversial of these deliveries are the deadly radioactive shells for Challenger 2 tanks that the British government has given Ukraine.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr commented on Instagram:

“In another reckless escalation, Britain has confirmed delivery of depleted uranium munitions to Ukraine. DU munitions should be banned. They partially vaporize on impact, poisoning the environment with uranium dust that causes cancer and horrific birth defects.”

    IMG_0368

On Saturday, during a massive air and missile raid on Ukraine, Russian forces hit a ammunition depot in Khmelnytsky, in the western part of the country, causing  gigantic explosions in the site.

    Intel Slava reported:

“It is worth noting that panic reports are spreading in Ukrainian social networks that during the detonation of an ammunition depot in Khmelnytsky, a large batch of British tank ammunition with depleted uranium, which was recently brought to Ukraine along with Storm Shadow missiles, was also destroyed. As a result of a huge explosion, particles of depleted uranium could be dispersed on the territory of the Khmelnytsky region, which, taking into account the experience of Yugoslavia and Iraq, could lead to an outbreak of cancer in the medium term.”

    IMG_0724

It didn’t take long for the results of the impact to be measurable scientifically.

    Slavyangrad on Telegram:

“A clear spike in gamma radiation was detected in Khmelnitsky on or about May 12th, with emission continuing to rise the following day and remaining at the elevated level thereafter.

Considering how little gamma radiation comes from depleted uranium, this clear spike in gamma radiation in Khmelnitsky indicates that there was very large stockpile of the DU munitions that was destroyed, raising the uranium dust into the air.

By comparison, the towns of Ternopol, Khmilnik, and Novaya Ushitsa remained at their apparent regular, base levels. This indicates that the Khmelnitsky anomaly is indeed a spike and corroborates the claim that the stockpile in Khmelnitsky contained DU munitions.”

While the UK authorities dismissed the danger posed by this kinds of shells, the experience in Yugoslavia and Iraq has shown how deadly in the medium term these vaporized depleted uranium shells can be.

Some House Republicans Call for Holding FBI Director in Contempt of Congress for Failing to Comply With Subpoena

Some House Republicans Call for Holding FBI Director in Contempt of Congress for Failing to Comply With Subpoena

WASHINGTON—House Republicans appear split on whether to hold FBI Director Christopher Wray in contempt of Congress for not complying with a subpoena from the House Oversight Committee that seeks a document with whistleblower allegations that now-President Joe Biden received a bribe from a foreign official.

In a May 3 letter to Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland, Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), the chairman of the Oversight Committee, and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) wrote that they “have received legally protected and highly credible unclassified whistleblower disclosures.

“Based on those disclosures, it has come to our attention that the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) possess an unclassified FD-1023 form that describes an alleged criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Biden and a foreign national relating to the exchange of money for policy decisions. It has been alleged that the document includes a precise description of how the alleged criminal scheme was employed as well as its purpose.”

The May 3 subpoena required the FBI to hand over any FD-1023 forms—which note information from confidential human sources—with the word “Biden” in them.

The FBI refused to comply with the subpoena’s May 10 deadline.

“It’s clear from the FBI’s response that the unclassified record the Oversight Committee subpoenaed exists, but they are refusing to provide it to the Committee. We’ve asked the FBI to not only provide this record, but to also inform us what it did to investigate these allegations,” said Comer in a May 10 statement. “The FBI has failed to do both. The FBI’s position is ‘trust, but you aren’t allowed to verify.’ That is unacceptable. We plan to follow up with the FBI and expect compliance with the subpoena.”

“While the FBI has failed to produce the specific document by the subpoena deadline, their offer to provide an accommodation process in response to our legitimate request indicates the document is real,” said Grassley in a statement.

“So the question remains, what did the FBI do to investigate very serious allegations from an apparent trusted FBI source implicating then-Vice President Biden? Today’s letter from the FBI raises additional questions, including whether the FBI has an open investigation based on these allegations. The American people pay the FBI’s salaries, and they’re entitled to a fulsome response.”

A spokesperson said that FD-1023 forms are used by agents to record unverified information from confidential sources, and revealing such documents would jeopardize investigations.

“Revealing unverified or possibly incomplete information could harm investigations, prejudice prosecutions or judicial proceedings, unfairly violate privacy or reputations, create misimpressions in the public, or potentially identify individuals who provide information to law enforcement, placing their physical safety at risk,” the spokesperson told The Epoch Times in an email.

    GOP Members React

A handful of House GOP members told The Epoch Times on May 12 that they would be willing to hold Wray in contempt of Congress.

Rep. Bob Good (R-Va.) is one of those, having replied with a simple “yes.”

“I think it’s unbelievable that the FBI is trying to refuse giving a nonclassified document to the Oversight Committee,” he said.

Reps. Rich McCormick (R-Ga.) and Tom McClintock (R-Calif.) said he “absolutely” would vote to hold Wray in contempt of Congress.

“When you can’t tell me why that document can’t be exposed to people who are on [the House Intelligence Committee], why they have more of a right to intelligence than we do, the people who actually fund that department, when you can’t even do that in a secret capacity, then what are you hiding?” said McCormick.

“If a credible allegation of bribery against a president can be made, that is an impeachable offense, and the full powers of Congress can be invoked not only to hold obstructionists accountable, but also to compel production of the evidence,” said McClintock.

Rep. Jen Kiggans (R-Va.), citing that she’s not on the Oversight Committee, said she is “not up on that issue enough to answer the question.”

When asked on May 12 if they would hold Wray in contempt, Rep. Debbie Lesko (R-Ariz.) answered in the affirmative.

“If a whistleblower, as they have, has identified a form that the FBI has and then the FBI’s response, it seems like, they did not deny they didn’t have the form but they haven’t turned it over, the American public and Congress need to see this form,” said Lesko. “We need to find out if it implicates the president of the United States. And yes, we need to have action. We need to have teeth. If we issue a subpoena and they don’t answer, we need to follow it up.”

    Rep. Bill Johnson (R-Ohio) demurred.

“I’m not going to get into the details of the FBI issue, but I will tell you that under the Constitution, we have a system of checks and balances,” he said. “And one of the most important authorities and responsibilities that we have as the voice of the American people is to hold the executive branch and the judicial branch accountable. And it’s a mutual system of checks and balances.”

Last but not least, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) would not say, when asked by The Epoch Times on May 11, whether there would be a subpoena but did not rule it out.

“There are checks and balances, and there is oversight. Congress has a right to have that knowledge,” he said. “And I will have a conversation with Director Wray about that and make sure that happens.”

The Epoch Times reached out to McCarthy’s office to ask if the conversation with Wray happened.

Reporting from the U.S.-Mexico border ahead of Title 42 ending Thursday night, Owen Shroyer filmed evidence of illegal immigrant pipelines at border wall gates.

Owen also stumbled across a historic marker commemorating the Treaty of 1848 that ended the Mexican-American war and established a territorial border.

He asked if Mexico or the U.S. broke the treaty as we’re currently witnessing millions of illegal immigrants flooding America.

“Mercy Rule”: CNN Abruptly Cut Trump Town Hall Short by Twenty Minutes | The Gateway Pundit | by Kristinn Taylor

CNN cut short the network’s town hall with President Trump Wednesday night by twenty minutes after Trump, backed by a wildly supportive audience (hand picked by CNN), took control of the forum from anchor Kaitlan Collins right from the start and never let up. The live event at St. Anselm College in New Hampshire was scheduled to run from 8 p.m. EDT until 9:30 p.m., however right before 9:10 p.m. Collins abruptly ended the town hall.

President Trump smiles as he walks on stage at start of CNN town hall, screen image.

An intro to a live thread by the Telegraph documented the scheduled length of the town hall:

Good evening. Follow our updates as Donald Trump participates in a ‘town hall’ during which he will face questions from a live audience. The 90-minute event comes one day after a civil jury found the former US President liable for the sexual abuse of writer E Jean Carroll. Mr Trump reacted to that finding by posting on his Truth Social app that the case was a “witch hunt” and that he had “absolutely no idea who this woman is”. Expect further defensive comments when Mr Trump takes the stage in New Hampshire tonight. The event will be moderated by former chief White House correspondent and CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins.

Puck’s Dylan Byers reported on CNN cutting the town hall short, “Note: The CNN Town Hall was a 90 minute broadcast, though the network expected the actual event to go as long as 75 minutes. They stopped less than 70 minutes in. In other words, they could have gone longer if they wanted—which is usually what executives do with big ratings draws”

Exchanges like these were why CNN threw in the towel.

Breitbart’s Joel Pollak observed the audience was laughing at Collins, “The @CNN audience is laughing at Kaitlin Collins because she keeps trying to squeeze Trump’s answers into her preconceived categories. It’s stupid and, yes, it is funny to laugh at her doing that.”

Clip where audience laughs at Collins:

Earlier Wednesday, Dylan Byers reported CNN was set to promote Collins to host of her own prime time show.

Collins was so confident and loaded for bear at the outset.

  • Google Co-Founder Named in Jeffrey Epstein Lawsuit Gone Missing?

Google Co-Founder Named in Jeffrey Epstein Lawsuit Gone Missing?

Google Co-Founder Named in Jeffrey Epstein Lawsuit Gone Missing?

According to multiple reports, the U.S. Virgin Islands is unable to locate Google co-founder Larry Page to serve him a subpoena in the lawsuit claiming JPMorgan Chase enabled Jeffrey Epstein’s sex crimes.

The Virgin Islands requested Manhattan federal court Judge Jed Rakoff to serve Page the subpoena through alternative means since their efforts to give it to him physically have been unsuccessful.

Lawyers for the Virgin Islands reportedly claimed Epstein may have referred or attempted to refer Page to JPMorgan Chase.

    CNBC reported:

The subpoena to Page demands “all documents” from 2002 onward related to communication between Page and JPMorgan regarding Epstein, and all documents between Page and Epstein related to the bank.

The USVI also demands from Page “all documents reflecting or regarding Epstein’s involvement in human trafficking and/or his procurement of girls or women for commercial sex.”

CNBC has reached out to Page for comment.

The U.S. territory previously issued subpoenas to Page’s fellow Google co-founder Sergey Brin, as well as former Disney executive Michael Ovitz, Hyatt Hotels executive chairman Thomas Pritzker and Mort Zuckerman, the billionaire real estate investor. The subpoenas likewise sought documents and other information about Epstein and JPMorgan.

However, it appears attempts to find Page remain unsuccessful.

    Fox Business reported:

The Virgin Islands said it can’t locate Page despite “good-faith attempts,” which included “hiring an investigative firm to search public records databases.”

The government tried to serve Page with a subpoena for documents at an address identified by an investigator, but it wasn’t valid, the filing says.

As an alternative, the Virgin Islands has asked Judge Jed Rakoff to let it serve Alphabet Inc. as a substitute for directly serving the tech titan.

    RT added:

Page reportedly owns two of the Virgin Islands, Hans Lollik and Little Hans Lollik – two of the four private islands the software tycoon has purchased since cashing in on Google. Epstein’s own private island, Little Saint James, which the pedophile bought in 1998, was purchased on Wednesday by investment manager Stephen Deckoff for $60 million.

The Virgin Islands’ suit accuses JPMorgan of having “turned a blind eye to evidence of human trafficking over more than a decade because of Epstein’s own financial footprint and because of the deals and clients that Epstein brought and promised to bring to the bank” – presumably including Page. Sergey Brin, Page’s Google co-founder, was also issued a subpoena, as were Hyatt Hotels chairman Thomas Pritzker and media mogul Mort Zuckerman.

JPMorgan has denied knowledge of Epstein’s unsavory activities and has filed to have the lawsuit dismissed as “legally meritless” and a “masterclass in deflection.” The bank has blamed its former head of asset management, Jes Staley, for protecting his predator client even as numerous compliance and risk management employees complained about the liability he posed. JPMorgan sued Staley in March to recoup whatever losses the bank is adjudicated in the Virgin Islands suit, as well as a second lawsuit by a group of Epstein’s victims.

House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer to the DOJ: “Do Not Indict Hunter Biden Before Wednesday”

May 8, 2023 at 05:03AM. House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer to the DOJ: “Do Not Indict Hunter Biden Before Wednesday” (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit | by Jim Hoft

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) joined Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo.

During the interview, Rep. Comer announced that he will hold a press conference on Wednesday with Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa).

Comer said he will disclose specific Biden family bank records in a press conference on Wednesday which could indicate alleged bribery from foreign adversaries.

“Senator Grassley and I received a tip on a whistleblower. Senator Grassley was the lead in this. We reviewed documents from the legally protected whistleblower, a highly credible whistleblower that would implicate Joe Biden in a pay-per-play scheme in trying to set up a deal to receive funds [for him] and his family in exchange for foreign policy decisions,” Comer told Bartiromo.

“Now that fits a pattern Maria, of what we’ve seen with these bank records. And on Wednesday we’re going to present to the American people all the information that we’ve received thus far pertaining to bank records. We’re going to disclose many of the different LLCs, many of the different transactions that all these different biden family members have gotten from our adversaries around the world.”

“Now, we don’t believe this was just a coincidence, that all these biden family members were receiving money from this web of LLCs into their personal bank account. We believe this was done in exchange for something that then vice president Biden and now President Biden would have done. So this whistleblower is going to provide some very crucial information to our investigation, and we’ve given the FBI until May 10th to produce this document,” Comer added.

Recall, Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) sent letters Wednesday to the FBI, calling on the bureau to produce an unclassified record of an alleged criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Joe Biden and a foreign national.

According to a whistleblower, this record details an alleged arrangement involving an exchange of money for policy decisions.

Rep. Comer sent a message to the DOJ during the interview, not to indict Hunter Biden before Wednesday.

“My message to the Department of Justice is very loud and clear,” said Comer. “Do not indict Hunter Biden before Wednesday when you had the opportunity to see the evidence that the House Oversight Committee will produce with respect to the web of LLCs, with respect to the number of adversarial countries that this family influence peddled in. This is not just about the President’s son. This is about the entire Biden family, including the president of the United States.”

Explainer: Title 42 is ending at the U.S.-Mexico border. What is it and what happens now?

Explainer: Title 42 is ending at the U.S.-Mexico border. What is it and what happens now?

    https://ift.tt/dpMftUv

WASHINGTON, May 5 (Reuters) – The United States is getting ready to lift COVID-19 restrictions that have blocked migrants caught at the U.S.-Mexico border from seeking asylum since 2020, a major policy shift with humanitarian and political implications.

    WHAT IS TITLE 42?

The COVID restrictions, known as Title 42, were first implemented under Republican then-President Donald Trump in March 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic. At the time, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said the order was needed to stem the spread of the coronavirus in crowded detention settings.

Title 42 allowed border agents to rapidly expel many migrants to Mexico, but some public health experts, Democrats and advocates criticized its health justification, saying it was part of Trump’s goal of curbing legal and illegal immigration.

President Joe Biden, a Democrat, took office in 2021 vowing to reverse Trump’s restrictive approach, but kept Title 42 in place and expanded it as his administration grappled with record migrant arrests at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Since its inception, migrants have been expelled more than 2.7 million times under Title 42, although the total includes many repeat crossers and Mexico has generally only accepted certain nationalities.

    WHAT IS HAPPENING THIS MONTH?

The Biden administration intends to lift Title 42 next Thursday when the U.S. COVID public health emergency ends.

Migrants caught crossing the border will again be able to request asylum, a process that can take years to resolve.

U.S. border officials are preparing for a possible increase in illegal crossings, the result of pent-up demand and the perception among migrants that they will be allowed in.

The numbers are already climbing. In April, the U.S. Border Patrol apprehended some 183,000 migrants, according to preliminary data provided by Brandon Judd, president of the National Border Patrol Council, a 13 percent increase from March.

More than 19,000 migrants are currently being held in U.S. Customs and Border Protection facilities, exceeding capacity by 200 percent, according to Judd.

WHAT IS THE PLAN ONCE TITLE 42 IS GONE?

To deter would-be migrants after the order is lifted, the Biden administration plans to issue a new regulation. It would deny asylum to most migrants caught crossing if they passed through another country en route to the U.S. without seeking protection or failed to use other legal pathways, which Biden has expanded.

Migrants walk between the two border fences as they wait for authorities to request asylum in San Ysidro, California, U.S., as seen from Tijuana, Mexico April 29, 2023. REUTERS/Jorge Duenes

U.S. authorities aim to process migrants in days and swiftly deport them if they fail an initial asylum screening.

Nearly 500 U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) personnel will temporarily be assigned to help with the interviews and the Pentagon will send 1,500 troops to support the Border Patrol on a temporary basis.

The new Biden regulation toughening access to asylum is expected to face legal challenges. The administration may also struggle to hold migrants at the border and quickly deport them without additional funds from Congress.

COULD U.S. COURTS OR CONGRESS KEEP TITLE 42 IN PLACE?

The CDC tried in April 2022 to end Title 42, saying it was no longer needed to limit the spread of COVID-19 in light of vaccines and other medical advances.

But a federal judge in Louisiana blocked the termination after a challenge brought by two dozen U.S. states with Republican attorneys general, who argued increased migration would saddle their states with costs.

The U.S. Supreme Court removed a different Title 42 case from their argument calendar in February after the administration told them the order would end along with the COVID emergency. It is unknown whether legal battles could resume after May 11.

Separately, a bipartisan group of U.S. senators are trying to pass a bill that would grant immigration authorities the power to expel migrants back to Mexico for another two years, though its prospects for passage are unclear.

    HOW ARE U.S. CITIES RESPONDING?

U.S. border cities are bracing for a possible rise in migrants when Title 42 ends.

Migrant apprehensions in Texas’ Rio Grande Valley have increased in recent weeks as more Venezuelans are crossing illegally there, according to the U.S. Border Patrol, and the spike in arrivals is straining shelters.

The Texas cities of Brownsville, El Paso and Laredo have issued emergency declarations.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott this week resumed a campaign to bus migrants to Democratic-led cities. The Republican governor blames Biden for the rise in crossings and seeks to lessen the burden on border cities.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams, a Democrat whose city has received thousands of migrants on buses from Texas, has called on the federal government to provide more funding for cities welcoming migrants and to expedite migrant work permits.
