November 11, 2022 at 05:09PM Day After Election, LA District Attorney Drops Charges Against Konnech Election Data CEO Eugene Yu – The Last Refuge
In semi-related election news, this is interesting. Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon, a man of notoriously sketchy political disposition, has dropped the charges against Konnech CEO Eugene Yu, although leaving the door open to refile charges at a later date.
Eugene Yu, the CEO of Konnech Inc, was charged last month with two felonies for allegedly violating the company’s contract with Los Angeles County and transferring election workers’ personal information along with data files to computer servers in China.
(New York Times) – […] Los Angeles County dropped criminal charges against the top executive of an elections technology company on Wednesday, bringing to an abrupt end an unusual case that became the focus of Americans who distrust the country’s electoral system.
The district attorney’s office said in a statement that it had dropped the case against the executive, Eugene Yu, because of concerns about the “pace of the investigation” and the “potential bias in the presentation” of evidence in the case. The office said the county had assembled a new team to “determine whether any criminal activity occurred.”
The prosecutors did not respond to questions about the decision. (read more)
(Via Reuters) – […] On Wednesday, the District Attorney’s Office said it sought to dismiss the case, citing an unspecified bias. A Los Angeles Superior Court judge granted the dismissal without prejudice, meaning charges can be refiled in future.
“We are concerned about both the pace of the investigation and the potential bias in the presentation and investigation of the evidence,” the office said in a statement. “As a result, we have decided to ask the court to dismiss the current case, and alert the public in order to ensure transparency.”
[…]The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office indicated it had not ruled out refiling criminal charges after a review of the evidence. It said it had assembled a new team of investigators with cyber security expertise and an independent expert to review the “immense volume of digital data” it has collected in the case.
It said it could take months to assess that evidence and determine whether criminal charges are warranted. (read more)
President Trump Fires Back Against Ron DeSantis, Con Inc and Coordinated Narrative Midterm Effort
President Trump can see and hear the same things everyone else can see and hear, including the coordinated media and GOPe effort to diminish him and the MAGA movement within the Republican club.
The Democrats and professional Republican class both want to see the populist movement destroyed for the same reason Mitch McConnell wanted the Tea Party destroyed in 2010. The assembly of the united middle-class and blue-collar base inside the Republican Party, essentially the broad MAGA movement, represents a Main Street threat to Wall Street control of the GOPe.
There are trillions at stake.
As Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ megadonor and Citadel hedge fund billionaire, Ken Griffin, openly admitted recently the Wall Street goals are (1) stop the populist movement and (2) get the Republican Party back in alignment with the multinational “corporate world.” These are the same goals of the Republican leadership in Washington DC and the same goals as the corporate media who serve as the public relations firms for Wall Street.
The collaborative group, which includes the entirety of the funding mechanism and management behind Ron DeSantis, viewed the 2022 midterm election as an opportunity to reset the Republican Party away from the populist MAGA influence. The strategy was to roll out of the August DOJ Mar-a-Lago targeting, directly into a nationally rebranded DeSantis operation and then lead up to the 2022 midterm election.
Anything that can cast Donald Trump as a negative would be enhanced, and anything that would cast the MAGA movement as a positive would be diminished. In part, this is the intent behind the delayed positive election results from key MAGA races in CO, WA, NV and AZ, combined with emphasis on the negative -albeit controlled- election ballot outcomes from Michigan and Pennsylvania.
At the 30,000-foot level the attacks against President Trump are, quite frankly, attacks against the MAGA populist movement represented by President Trump.
The professional political class, both DNC and RNC club members, politicians and donors, want to get back to normal political business operations in Washington DC. The key element at the core of their concern is financial and economic control. Again, there are trillions at stake.
Just like we can see this coordinated effort, so too can President Trump see the construct of the narrative as it is being engineered and delivered. We can see the Paul Ryan wing, the Mitch McConnell wing and the corporate media division all working in concert. The entities described genuinely do not think the larger Republican base can see it, but they underestimate us at their own peril.
Things are never going to return to normal for them, but they refuse to accept that. The most adamant of the professional Republican apparatus, in concert with the multinational financial world, would rather see the GOP lose every election – if that’s what it takes to stop the MAGA movement. They view this as a zero-sum game, and they have planted proactive seeds for exactly this purpose.
A more than happy to assist CONservative Inc new media apparatus, the “influencers” as they call them, are part of the dynamic that was recruited in early 2022 {See Here}. It’s the use of this crew and others of like-minded disposition that helps the corporate group drumbeat an anti-populist, anti-MAGA message with the intention to eliminate the head of the movement.
In addition to their common vertical challenges, the DeSantis 2024 influence group are almost identical to the Cruz 2016 group. The difference this time around is the pretending game; where they pretend DeSantis is not the intended beneficiary of their relentless anti-Trumpism in both print and broadcast appearances.
The group was recruited in January 2022 and includes Fox News’ Lisa Marie Boothe, Turning Point USA’s Benny Johnson, Newsweek opinion editor Josh Hammer, The Rubin Report’s Dave Rubin, New York Post and FoxNews.com columnist Karol Markowicz, Claremont Institute fellow David Reaboi and conservative writers like Jordan Schachtel, John Cardillo, along with Ben Shapiro and Guy Benson.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has been positioned as the intended recipient for the disenfranchised MAGA movement’s support, if they can just get President Trump out of the equation and exploit the vulnerability in his absence. However, all previous efforts to shake the bond between President Trump and the MAGA movement have failed.
Using the 2022 midterm election control, they are pounding the wedge harder now, with increased ferocity and urgency to break the bond.
Just like in 2016, the GOPe multinationals, corporatists, Wall Street donors, Never Trump CONservatives, and just about all controlled media systems are being enlisted in this effort. President Trump can see the construct just as clearly as you can.
President Trump isn’t pretending. He’s targeting Florida Governor Ron DeSantis because President Trump, like us, can clearly see the nature of the construct that has been manufactured to oppose the MAGA movement. This is a fight for the future of the Republican party.
DeSantis is playing too-cute-by-half, in pretending not to be a participant in the professional republican operation. If Governor Ron DeSantis was not an active participant, he would not be playing coy with his 2024 GOP nomination intent. Trump isn’t going to play pretend. As long as DeSantis pretends, he will be targeted by President Trump because Trump isn’t going to allow the professional republican apparatus to destroy the populist movement.
Let Con Inc go and form a new party now of acceptable republicans. Let the people of selfie-importance assemble to take pictures of their lunches and dinners for social media shares, while the scruffnecks in MAGA assemble to push back against the new American corporatist agenda that finances them.
The new republican party is the working-class people’s party, the MAGA party, and President Donald J Trump is going to defend it.
Elites Begin Assault on MAGA Republicans – The Largest Conservative Movement in US History
With Governor Ron DeSantis’s victory on Tuesday, the largest in Florida’s gubernatorial history since Bob Graham won by 29 points in 1982, a lot of talk in the mainstream media has turned to “DeFuture,” as described by the New York Post.
FOX News on Tuesday night couldn’t wait to tout Gov. DeSantis as the next coming while disparaging Donald J. Trump and the “MAGA Republicans.” It’s no surprise that the election wasn’t even finished before former George W. Bush’s speechwriter and Washington Post weekly contributor Marc Thiessen started to shape a narrative that the “America First” Republican Party is “an absolute disaster.”
FOX News and Thiessen have willingly ignored the fact that transparency in our elections is non-existent. Election laws were changed across the country to promote no excuse absentee voting. Ballots are sent out to unverified voters in mass. Voting machines are being utilized with seeming vulnerabilities in their coding but ignored by officials. The list of discrepancies and fatal deficiencies go on and on and no one with authority seems to have any desire to address it despite polling numbers showing next to no faith due to lack of transparency in our election system.
Joe Biden is the most unpopular occupier of the White House since Harry Truman. Inflation is at a 40-year high. Wages are crashing at historic rates. Fentanyl is pouring across our border and making its way into our children’s lives. 5 million illegals have walked across the open border since inauguration. Exit polls showed more than 7 out of 10 voters were unhappy with the direction the country was headed. One-third were “angry” about it, according to CNN in a Breitbart article:
“More than 7 in 10 said they were less than satisfied with the way things are going in the country, with about one-third saying they were not just dissatisfied but angry with the state of the nation,” CNN noted.
But after back-to-back public primetime addresses by Joe Biden that focused almost exclusively on demonizing MAGA Republicans and his political opposition and almost zero mention of the crises facing the American public, the media wants you to believe that Americans, unhappy with the current state of the Nation, fell hook, line, and sinker for Joe’s rhetoric and voted against the “Red Wave.”
Perhaps this is the wake up call America needs to reject voting machines with private source code, unknown private equity investors, and zero transparency (with ballot authentication devices in many jurisdictions turned off).
So what does this have to do with Gov. DeSantis?
In an evening of what the Mockingbird Media would have you believe was “doom and gloom” for MAGA, Gov. DeSantis was the one shining beacon of light. He won convincingly, surpassing his Democrat opponent by 20 points.
But was it an authentic landslide? Perhaps. No one can question Gov. DeSantis’s wild popularity. As a Florida resident myself, I am more than grateful for his unrelenting leadership during the COVID lockdowns and combatting the indoctrination of our children by groomers sporadically embedded in our public schools throughout the state (and country).
But was Charlie Crist a viable contender? Or a pawn in a political strategy by the Establishment/Deep State/Permanent Washington? (Call it what you will. It exists.) Let me explain.
Let’s look at the facts on Florida. President Trump won Florida both in 2016 and in 2020. In 2016, he won by appx. 113k votes. Barack Obama, by comparison, won his historic 2008 campaign by appx. 205k. However, in 2020, President Trump more than tripled his previous margin of victory and almost doubled Obama’s margin by garnering a 372k vote victory in the 2020 election. Ironically, President Trump also won sought-after Ohio by 476k votes. The last and seemingly only time a Republican won Florida and Ohio but lost the Presidency was Kennedy v. Nixon in 1960, which is still a highly controversial election.
For the first time in Florida history, reportedly, Republicans out-registered Democrats. That’s a rather strange statistic since Floridians haven’t elected a Democrat governor since 1994 when Lawton Chiles won the office.
In the 2022 primary election, the Miami-Dade county school board, among others, flipped from liberal to conservative. President Obama won Miami-Dade county by 16 points in 2008. By 2022, it became the largest conservative public school jurisdiction in the country. Gov. DeSantis would go on to win the county by 11 points, arguably a bigger achievement than winning Florida as a whole by 20.
Florida looked so grim and hopeless for the Democrats that the Democratic Governor’s Association wasn’t even considering supporting a candidate against Gov. DeSantis. How bad does it have to be that they would concede the third-largest electoral state uncontested, essentially dooming them to an electoral massacre in 2024?
Bad enough that they rolled out a Democrat candidate whose only statewide office held was as a Republican? And who subsequently lost as a Republican (and then as an Independent in the same race) against Marco Rubio for US Senate?
Given the above information regarding political trends in Florida…a wildly popular President Trump, a surging Republican party, incredible polling numbers from Gov. DeSantis, and a repudiation of the indoctrination in our schools, the Democrats decided to roll out this man, who all but confesses his love for the most unpopular occupier of the White House in the polling era:
The question I ask is this: is it beyond the Deep State to put out a lackluster hack candidate in order to inflate a candidate like Ron DeSantis, who will likely run for President in 2024, in order to damage the target of their incessant rhetoric for the last 6 years, Donald J. Trump? Just asking.
The narrative has already begun to change. The Mockingbird Media and Neo-Cons alike are all touting Gov. DeSantis as the savior of the Republican Party while diminishing “America First” and “MAGA” candidates as the “searing indictment of the Republican Party?”
Again: Do not misinterpret this as an attack against Gov. DeSantis. He is, by far, the best governor in the Nation and will undoubtedly be a serious Presidential contender in upcoming elections. I am unapologetically hoping he remains our Governor for a full four years, allowing President Trump to run in 2024 without the animosity the two would create in a primary battle and giving Florida a solid conservative foundation for decades to come.
However, the narrative being formed around him by the very same people who snubbed us into locking down and destroying our country in order to unseat Donald Trump cannot be ignored. They are terrified of President Trump and what he has vowed to do to the Deep State.
Progressive group launches ‘Don’t Run Joe’ campaign in New Hampshire
A progressive grassroots organization linked to Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) officially launched its “Don’t Run Joe” campaign in New Hampshire on Wednesday in a bid to dampen a 2024 White House run from President Biden.
As promised back in July, RootsAction launched the campaign just one day after the midterm elections, hoping to discourage Biden from seeking a second term.
“It’s clear that Joe Biden should not be the party’s presidential nominee in 2024,” the campaign said in a press release on Wednesday.
The digital ads began running in New Hampshire because the state has long hosted a first-in-the-nation presidential primary, but the “Don’t Run Joe” campaign will roll out over time across the nation.
“We cannot risk losing in 2024. We shouldn’t gamble on Joe Biden’s low approval rating,” one advertisement reads.
RootsAction is sponsoring the campaign but said it expects other organizations to sign on to it eventually.
The president would likely face a tough hurdle against the 2024 Republican nominee, widely said to be either Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis or former President Trump.
And while Biden can court independents and moderate Democrats, he has not proved to be as popular with the more progressive wing of the party.
Norman Solomon, a co-founder of RootsAction, told The Hill.TV in July that voters want Biden to “get out of the way.”
“That opens up the possibility of a progressive nominee,” Solomon said. “That’s where our future is, to get a logjam named President Biden out of the way for 2024.”
While the White House has said Biden intends to run, he has fallen short of making an official declaration.
Still, the president led his party through a tough midterm election cycle and — although key races have yet to be decided — Democrats outperformed expectations, especially for a party in power.
And after struggling with crisis after crisis in the beginning of his presidency, from supply chain snarls to baby formula shortages, Biden scored a series of victories in the fall.
He mustered through the historic Inflation Reduction Act, which includes huge investments in climate change, pardoned all those convicted of simple federal marijuana possession and announced at least $10,000 in student loan debt relief for many borrowers.
When it announced the effort in July, the “Don’t Run Joe” campaign said Biden has been “neither bold nor inspiring” and can’t tackle the challenges it wants Democrats to face.
New Hampshire state Rep. Sherry Frost (D) said in a statement carried by the campaign that she is “not confident that Joe Biden is the leader we need to take us into the next term.”
“I am eager to support a candidate who understands the fatal dysfunction in our economy and is willing to hold the ultra-wealthy individuals and corporations to their obligations,” Frost said.
“I am not confident that Biden is that candidate, and while I appreciate his rescuing us from another Trump term, I believe we need someone else to champion the big and systemic changes we need to continue to strive toward our more perfect union,” the state senator added.
November 10, 2022 at 04:55PM BREAKING: Arizona Election Results Delayed Until AFTER Weekend
The election results in Arizona won’t be completed until after the weekend, according to breaking reports coming out of the region.
A Maricopa County spokesperson has just said the counting of the ballots will not be done Friday as originally expected, reportedly blaming a “historic” dump of 290k ballots on Election Day as the reason for the delay.
“Arizona spokesperson for Maricopa County elections tells me the majority of ballots won’t be done being counted until after the weekend,” reports Ali Bradley of NewsNation. “They initially anticipated 95-99% of ballots to be completed by Friday.”
“A historic 290k ballots were dropped off ElectionDay causing the delay.”
Currently, conservatives are closely following Kari Lake’s gubernatorial saga against Democrat Katie Hobbs as well as Blake Masters’ race to unseat incumbent Mark Kelly in the Arizona senate.
Already, critics are slamming Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell for brazenly disregarding Masters’ tight struggle for Senate.
“Mitch McConnell dumping $9 million into Alaska so pro-abortion RINO Lisa Murkowski could beat an America First Republican instead of spending it in Arizona for Blake Masters, whose race is going down to the wire, should be the nail in the coffin for his time as Leader,” said journalist Greg Price.
Moreover, Steve Bannon celebrated Lake’s efforts to assist Masters in his fight for the Senate seat.
“Blake was abandoned by Mitch McConnel,” said Bannon Thursday on The Charlie Kirk Show. “It took Kari Lake, who’s in a dog race herself, to say ‘no’ we’re going in as a team & we’re coming out as a team.”
“How many people think like that? In politics, they don’t think like that. This is what leadership is.”
Thirteen days after the 2020 election, I had lunch with President Trump. I told him that if his legal challenges came up short, he could simply accept the results, move forward with the transition, and start a political comeback, winning the Senate runoffs in Georgia, the 2021 Virginia governor’s race, and the House and Senate in 2022. Then he could run for president in 2024 and win. He seemed unmoved, even weary: “I don’t know, 2024 is so far off.”
In a Dec. 5 call, the president for the first time mentioned challenging the election results in Congress. By mid-December, the internet was filled with speculation about my role. An irresponsible TV ad by a group calling itself the Lincoln Project suggested that when I presided over the Jan. 6 joint session of Congress to count the electoral votes, it would prove that I knew “it’s over,” and that by doing my constitutional duty, I would be “putting the final nail in the coffin” of the president’s re-election. To my knowledge, it was the first time anyone implied I might be able to change the outcome. It was designed to annoy the president. It worked. During a December cabinet meeting, President Trump told me the ad “looked bad for you.” I replied that it wasn’t true: I had fully supported the legal challenges to the election and would continue to do so.
On Dec. 19, the president mentioned plans for a rally in Washington on Jan. 6. I thought that would be useful to call attention to the proceedings. I had just spoken with a senator about the importance of vetting concerns about the election before Congress and the American people. At the White House on Dec. 21, Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan led lawmakers in a discussion about plans to bring objections. I promised that all properly submitted objections would be recognized and fully debated.
On Dec. 23, my family boarded Air Force Two to spend Christmas with friends. As we flew across America, President Trump retweeted an obscure article titled “Operation Pence Card.” It alluded to the theory that if all else failed, I could alter the outcome of the election on Jan. 6. I showed it to Karen, my wife, and rolled my eyes.
On Dec. 30, Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley announced that he would co-sponsor election objections brought by representatives. I welcomed Sen. Hawley’s decision because it meant we would have a substantive debate. Without a senator’s support, I would have been required to dismiss House objections without debate, something I didn’t want to do.
Early on New Year’s Day, the phone rang. Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert and other Republicans had filed a lawsuit asking a federal judge to declare that I had “exclusive authority and sole discretion” to decide which electoral votes should count. “I don’t want to see ‘Pence Opposes Gohmert Suit’ as a headline this morning,” the president said. I told him I did oppose it. “If it gives you the power,” he asked, “why would you oppose it?” I told him, as I had many times, that I didn’t believe I possessed that power under the Constitution.
“You’re too honest,” he chided. “Hundreds of thousands are gonna hate your guts. . . . People are gonna think you’re stupid.”
On Saturday, Jan. 2, I instructed my chief of staff to issue a statement supporting the right of lawmakers to bring objections under the Electoral Count Act. By Sunday morning, the headline “Pence Welcomes Congressional Republicans’ Bid to Challenge Electoral Votes” was everywhere. When the president called me that morning, his mood had brightened. “You have gone from very unpopular to popular!” he exclaimed. But then he pressed me again to reject electoral votes unilaterally. “You can be a historic figure,” he said, “but if you wimp out, you’re just another somebody.”
On Jan. 4, the president’s chief of staff, Mark Meadows, summoned me to the Oval Office for a meeting with a long list of attendees, including the legal scholar John Eastman. I listened respectfully as Mr. Eastman argued that I should modify the proceedings, which require that electoral votes be opened and counted in alphabetical order, by saving the five disputed states until the end. Mr. Eastman claimed I had the authority to return the votes to the states until each legislature certified which of the competing slate of electors for the state was correct. I had already confirmed that there were no competing electors.
Mr. Eastman repeatedly qualified his argument, saying it was only a legal theory. I asked, “Do you think I have the authority to reject or return votes?”
He stammered, “Well, it’s never been tested in the courts, so I think it is an open question.”
At that I turned to the president, who was distracted, and said, “Mr. President, did you hear that? Even your lawyer doesn’t think I have the authority to return electoral votes.” The president nodded. As Mr. Eastman struggled to explain, the president replied, “I like the other thing better,” presumably meaning that I could simply reject electoral votes.
On Jan. 5, I got an urgent call that the president was asking to see me in the Oval Office. The president’s lawyers, including Mr. Eastman, were now requesting that I simply reject the electors. I later learned that Mr. Eastman had conceded to my general counsel that rejecting electoral votes was a bad idea and any attempt to do so would be quickly overturned by a unanimous Supreme Court. This guy didn’t even believe what he was telling the president.
Right before going to bed, I saw that the Trump campaign had issued a statement. The New York Times reported that I had told the president I didn’t believe I had the power to block congressional certification of the election. That was true, but the statement called it “fake news.” I had a feeling that Jan. 6, 2021, was going to be a very long day.

I rose early that day and worked on my statement to Congress. When the phone rang a little after 11 a.m., it was the president. “Despite the press release you issued last night,” I said, “I have always been forthright with you, Mr. President.” I reiterated that I didn’t believe I had the power to decide which electoral votes would count and said I would be issuing a statement to Congress confirming that before the joint session started.
The president laid into me. “You’ll go down as a wimp,” he said. “If you do that, I made a big mistake five years ago!”
But when he said, “You’re not protecting our country, you’re supposed to support and defend our country!” I calmly reminded him, “We both took an oath to support and defend the Constitution.”
As I headed to the Capitol, President Trump took the stage. He told the crowd: “I hope Mike is going to do the right thing. I hope so. I hope so. Because if Mike Pence does the right thing, we win the election.” Repeating the argument made by the crank lawyers standing just offstage, he said, “All he has to do, all this is, this is from the No. 1, or certainly one of the top, constitutional lawyers in our country. . . . All Vice President Pence has to do is send it back to the states to recertify and we become president and you are the happiest people.”
As our motorcade arrived at the Capitol, I saw thousands of protesters standing peacefully on the East Lawn. I felt compassion for all the good people who had traveled to Washington having been told that the outcome of the election could be changed. They cheered as we entered. I turned to my daughter and sighed: “God bless those people. They’re gonna be so disappointed.”
I had no idea that what was later described as a “wall of people” had formed about a block west of the Capitol. As I led senators onto the House floor, the mood was solemn. There was no indication of the mayhem unfolding outside. Speaker Nancy Pelosi gaveled the chamber into session a little after 1 p.m.
When the electoral votes for Arizona were opened, Rep. Paul Gosar rose to raise the first objection of the day, co-sponsored by 60 representatives. When I asked if the motion had a Senate sponsor, Ted Cruz rose. I adjourned the joint session and accompanied senators back to their chamber, still oblivious to the riot outside.
Forty minutes into the session, Republican James Lankford of Oklahoma had the floor when the Senate parliamentarian, Elizabeth MacDonough, seated a few feet in front of me, leaned back in her chair and whispered: “Mr. Vice President, protesters have breached the building’s doors on the first floor. Just informing you.”
A member of my Secret Service detail walked onto the Senate floor, straight to my chair, and said, “Mr. Vice President, we gotta go.” I was confident that the U.S. Capitol Police would soon have the situation in hand, so I told him we’d wait in the nearby ceremonial office reserved for my use as president of the Senate.
Soon my lead Secret Service agent, Timothy Giebels, walked into that crowded office and said, “Sir, we’ve got to get you out of the building.” The protesters who had smashed their way into the House side of the Capitol were heading for the Senate. I later learned that many had come looking for me.
I told my detail that I wasn’t leaving my post. Mr. Giebels pleaded for us to leave. The rioters had reached our floor. I pointed my finger at his chest and said, “You’re not hearing me, I’m not leaving! I’m not giving those people the sight of a 16-car motorcade speeding away from the Capitol.”
“OK,” he answered in a voice that made it clear that it wasn’t. “Well, we can’t stay here. This office only has a glass door, and we can’t protect you.”
My daughter Charlotte, sensing my frustration, asked, “Isn’t there somewhere else dad can go that is still in the Capitol?” Mr. Giebels said we could move to the loading dock and garage, a few stories below. I agreed.
The steps were secured. We walked out into the hall slowly. All around us was a blur of motion and chaos: security and police officers directing people to safety, staffers shouting and running for shelter. I heard footsteps and angry chanting. Making our way to the basement of the Capitol took a few extra minutes because I insisted that we walk, not run. The Secret Service team grudgingly accommodated me.
Arriving in the loading dock, we saw that our motorcade had been repositioned, with all the cars pointed toward a ramp leading out. Mr. Giebels began to escort us toward our cars. I stopped and said, “I’m not getting in the car.”
“Sir,” he replied, “we’re just going to have you wait in the car, but we are not leaving the Capitol.”
“Tim, I believe you,” I said. “You’re a man of integrity, but you’re not driving that car.” I knew that if we got into the car, somebody would tell the driver to get us out of the building.
We had no television in the garage, so my staff and security team briefed me on the situation using police radio communications and Twitter. The House and Senate leaders had been whisked away to a secure location off Capitol Hill, but other members were barricaded in the House chamber as Capitol Police worked to hold back the mob.
My unflappable assistant Zach Bauer walked up sheepishly and handed me his phone. The president had sent a tweet at 2:24 p.m.: “Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution, giving States a chance to certify a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones which they were asked to previously certify. USA demands the truth!”
Rioters were ransacking the Capitol. Some of them, I was later told, were chanting, “Hang Mike Pence!” I ignored the tweet and got back to work.
My chief of staff arranged for a conference call with the congressional leadership. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell made the point that it was imperative Congress reconvene as soon as possible to complete the vote count. Everyone agreed.
By 2:38 p.m., it appeared that cooler heads had prevailed at the White House. The president tweeted, “Please support our Capitol Police and Law Enforcement. They are truly on the side of our Country. Stay peaceful!” A half hour later, he urged the rioters to “remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order—respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue.” At 4:17 p.m., the president issued a video telling the rioters, “I know your pain, I know your hurt . . . but you have to go home now, we have to have peace.”
By 7 p.m., we had been cleared to return to my office. When the session reconvened, everything changed. Many lawmakers withdrew support for objections that had been properly filed. Beyond the violence and destruction, the Jan. 6 rioters had managed to end the debate over election irregularities. At around 3:40 a.m., Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota read the results of the 2020 election.
I met with the president on Jan. 11. He looked tired, and his voice seemed fainter than usual. “How are you?” he began. “How are Karen and Charlotte?” I replied tersely that we were fine and told him that they had been at the Capitol on Jan. 6. He responded with a hint of regret, “I just learned that.” He then asked, “Were you scared?”
“No,” I replied, “I was angry. You and I had our differences that day, Mr. President, and seeing those people tearing up the Capitol infuriated me.”
He started to bring up the election, saying that people were angry, but his voice trailed off.
I told him he had to set that aside, and he responded quietly, “Yeah.”
I said, “Those people who broke into the Capitol might’ve been supporters, but they are not our movement.” For five years, we had both spoken to crowds of the most patriotic, law-abiding, God-fearing people in the country.
With genuine sadness in his voice, the president mused: “What if we hadn’t had the rally? What if they hadn’t gone to the Capitol?” Then he said, “It’s too terrible to end like this.”
On Jan. 14, the day after President Trump was impeached for the second time, I stopped by the Oval Office. The night before, he had unequivocally denounced the violence at the Capitol and called for calm and national unity. I congratulated him on his address. “I knew you’d like it,” he said. He seemed discouraged, so I reminded him that I was praying for him.
“Don’t bother,” he said.
As I stood to leave, he said, “It’s been fun.”
“A privilege, Mr. President,” I answered.
“Yeah, with you.”
Walking toward the door leading to the hallway, I paused, looked the president in the eye, and said, “I guess we will just have to disagree on two things.”
“What?”
I referred to our disagreement about Jan. 6 and then said, “I’m also never gonna stop praying for you.”
He smiled: “That’s right—don’t ever change.”
y Last Days With Donald Trump
I supported legitimate challenges to the 2020 vote counts. I also recognized that the Constitution didn’t give me authority to override the voters—and I followed my conscience on Jan. 6.
BREAKING: Kari Lake Goes on with Tucker Carlson and Brings INCREDIBLE NEWS! (VIDEO)
Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake joined Tucker Carlson on Wednesday night.
Kari told Tucker Carlson that they will start to see the election going in her direction.
And Kari dropped some incredible news on the 650,000 remaining ballots that need to be counted.
Kari Lake: Well I feel 100% certain I am going to win. The question is how big will that win be? Can you believe this, Tucker? We still hve 650,000 votes that have not been counted. And guess who these voters are? They’re the people who showed up on election day. They’re the people, 275,000 of them are people who brought their ballot to polls on election day because they don’t trust the mail and they don’t trust the drop boxes. So guess who those voters are? They’re our voters. And we’re only down by a few thousand votes right now. When those votes come in we’re going to see a lot of liberal minds kind of blowing up.
A poll worker in Indiana has been removed by election officials after they were caught marking voters’ ballots for Democrat candidates and pressuring citizens to vote for specific candidates the Slay reported.
The poll worker, identified as James Zheng, was caught pre-selecting Democrat candidates on voters’ ballots at a location in Carmel, Indiana.
In one incident, Zheng reportedly filled out a ballot by voting “straight Democrat Party” when a voter asked for assistance.
Beth Sheller, an election administrator for Hamilton County, told Fox News that an inspector report allegedly identified two separate incidents involving Zheng.
The incidents may constitute electioneering and election interference, Sheller revealed.
Zheng is accused of telling black voters “… not to vote for the racist candidates outside,” according to Chalkboard Review, where officials first identified the accused poll worker.
According to the report, the first incident happened on Thursday evening after the poll worker told a pair of black voters not to vote for pro-parent school board candidates.
He alleged that the candidates were “racist” after encountering a group of education activists outside the polling station.
After casting their ballots, the pair of voters explained their interaction with the poll worker to the activists.
According to the inspector report, the second incident involved potential election interference.
Sheller confirmed the Chalkboard Review report that Zheng allegedly pre-selected a straight-Democrat ticket for a voter under the guise of “explaining the voting machines.”
Several voters made allegations to their local election judges that Zheng was using the same tactic on their ballots, some of whom “didn’t know how to change it back.”
In a press release obtained by Chalkboard Review, Mario Massillamany, GOP chairman in Hamilton County, said that the election administrator removed Zheng from working at the early voting site.
They also prevented him from returning to the station on Friday and Monday.
“This should serve as a cautionary reminder that those desperate to hold onto power or gain power will do anything – including breaking the law – to thwart the efforts of parents and taxpayers to replace our school boards with officials who more accurately reflect the values of our community,” Massillamany said.
“If you see something suspicious, please report such activity immediately to a poll worker or other election official immediately.”
Fox News reports Dayna Colbert, Hamilton County Democrats chair, was contacted to provide a replacement poll worker.
Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office has reportedly begun investigating the accusations.
Sheller told Chalkboard Review that she hopes to see Zheng prosecuted for both aspects of misconduct.
She also vowed to ensure with a bipartisan team of judges and election officials that “no electioneering” signs and limits were posted at that location before polls opened.
Following his takeover of the social media giant Twitter, Republicans have asked billionaire Elon Musk to turn over information related to Twitter’s handling of the Hunter Biden laptop story.
Saying Twitter decided “to limit information that may have affected the 2020 election” when it pushed back or suppressed news about the laptop, Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., wrote in a letter that he hoped Twitter’s new leadership would “correct” the “error” and “provide Americans with transparency.”
Committee on Oversight and Reform Republicans are investigating the Biden family’s pattern of influence peddling to enrich themselves and President Biden’s involvement in these schemes,” Comer wrote to Musk in the letter dated Oct. 28. “As part of this investigation, Committee Republicans are reviewing the role Big Tech — including Twitter — played in supporting the Biden campaign in 2020 by suppressing certain stories implicating the Bidens.”
Comer writes in the letter that he and fellow GOP lawmakers on the committee already wrote Twitter’s then-CEO Parag Agrawal back in April, asking the social media company to “preserve all documents and communications in Twitter’s custody referring or relating to the October 2020 New York Post article about Hunter Biden’s laptop.”
Agrawal and Twitter, according to Comer, did not respond to that request. Musk fired Agrawal shortly after his takeover.
Since Musk has, according to Comer, pledged to make Twitter a place “where a wide range of beliefs can be debated in a healthy manner,” GOP members hope Twitter’s new leader will be more cooperative with their efforts.
We believe open communication and access to information is a fundamental principle for any free people, and the American people deserve to know the reason Twitter suppressed or censored the Biden laptop story shortly before the 2020 election,” Comer’s letter reads
President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, has been under investigation since 2018 for his involvement in business deals with countries like China and Ukraine. He soon may face federal charges.
The Hunter Biden laptop story focused on obtained emails that detailed how President Biden’s son was allegedly leveraging his access to top policymakers in potential overseas business deals. The emails were pulled from a laptop supposedly belonging to Hunter.
Initially, intelligence experts and others called the initial reports of Hunter Biden’s laptop “Russian disinformation,” leading to a media campaign against the report first published by the New York Post.
Both Twitter and Facebook banned the dissemination of the story, with Twitter calling the content problematic because it was “obtained through hacking” and “contains private information.”
Quickly following the New York Post’s publication of the story, Twitter prohibited users from sharing it and locked the Post’s Twitter account,” Comer’s letter to Musk states. “Twitter censors met any attempts to share the story’s link with a notice that said, ‘[w]e can’t complete this request because this link has been identified by Twitter or our partners as being potentially harmful.’”
Twitter unilaterally decided—without any evidence—that the story was untrue. Only after the election did the New York Times and the Washington Post admit the laptop was authentic,” Comer’s letter continued. “Committee Republicans are concerned Twitter inappropriately censored the Hunter Biden laptop story to influence the 2020 Presidential Election.”
Comer and GOP lawmakers are asking Musk to turn over “all documents and communications” regarding Twitter’s response to the Hunter Biden laptop story as soon as possible, but “no later” than Nov. 11.
Back in April, Musk said that he thought “suspending the Twitter account of a major news organization for publishing a truthful story was obviously incredibly inappropriate,” in a tweet.
Billionaire Elon Musk, who is in the final stages of acquiring social media giantTwitter, is weighing in on the platform’s previous censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop storyleading up to the 2020 presidential election.
Musk has previously stated his desire to own the social media giant stems from his criticism of Twitter’s free speech practices. The billionaire has been a vocal critic of Twitter’s perceived flaws when it comes to free speech. Now that he has taken over, it seems the GOP is hoping he can aid them in their investigation.
Hochul has said that voter concerns about crime were part of a GOP ‘conspiracy’- showing how out of touch the elite politicians are with the American people.
MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle challenged Gov. Kathy Hochul on crime during an MSNBC appearance on Friday and insisted New Yorkers do not feel safe.
MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle pressed Gov. Kathy Hochul on crime and her plans to address it in New York City during an appearance on MSNBC on Friday, insisting New Yorkers don’t feel safe.
After Hochul touted getting guns off the streets in New York and her partnership with New York City Mayor Eric Adams, Ruhle interrupted and emphasized that people do not feel good about crime in New York.
“Okay, I’m gonna interrupt you then. Here’s the problem. We don’t feel safe. You might be working closely with Mayor Adams, you may have spent a whole lot of money. But I walked into my pharmacy, and everything is on lockdown because of shoplifters. I am not going into the subway. People do not feel safe in this town. So you may have done these things, but right now, we’re not feeling good. Where worried we could be San Francisco,” Ruhle said.
Hochul argued that New York City would never become San Francisco and said homicides and shootings have gone down “dramatically” from 2021. Hochul also said crime was an issue across the U.S.
“It doesn’t matter what’s happening in other cities, or other states. The reason people don’t feel safe in New York, is why they are starting to say, can Kathy Hochul be the right governor? Right? It doesn’t really matter what’s happening in Pennsylvania or San Francisco, you need to get New Yorkers’ votes and safety is a top issue for us,” Ruhle said.
Hochul said she understood these concerns and that she took the subway that morning.
“I understand the sense of anxiety. And that’s why a part of it is getting people who are severely ill out of the subways. Because you don’t know if they’re gonna have an episode. Something happens, they push somebody. That’s the fear of the unknown. We have to get them out of there, we’re doing it right now. Cameras, when you’re on a subway, the perpetrators now know they’re being watched, there’s a record of it. That’s going to start having a return effect,” Hochul said.
Hochul previously suggested voter concerns about crime and safety in certain states were part of a GOP “conspiracy.”
“These are master manipulators,” Hochul said, referring to Republicans. “They have this conspiracy going all across America trying to convince people that in Democratic states that they’re not as safe. Well guess what? They’re also not only election deniers, they’re data deniers,” she said.
She said Democratic cities and states were “safer.”
Congressman and Republican New York gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin attends the annual Columbus Day parade in New York City, Oct. 10, 2022.
Zeldin tweeted a picture of the front page of the New York Post on Friday, which showed a homeless man with 25 prior arrests who was accused of raping a jogger in New York City’s West Village, and told his followers to “vote like your life depends on it.”
November 7, 2022 at 06:05AM FBI Swoops In As Suspicious Package Sent To Kari Lake’s Offices
The campaign for governor of Arizona has gotten intense and now it has gotten terrifying.
The FBI is investigating a suspicious package that was sent to Republican candidate Kari Lake’s campaign offices, The Daily Mail reported.
Law enforcement was at the offices in Phoenix from 10pm to 5am after Lake’s team was sent two envelopes with the substance and abusive messages.

Her campaign believes this was a ‘terroristic attack, trying to intimidate Kari and the campaign staff’.
“Yesterday, one of Kari’s staffers opened up an envelope that had a suspicious white powder in it and had a letter in there with a bunch of vulgarities and ranting and raving about Kari,” a source close to the campaign said.
“The employee then noticed second package that was exactly like the first one she had opened and she reported it,” the source said.
The FBI, a hazmat team and bomb squad responded to the scene and the FBI took the substance.
“Officers responded to a found property call at an office building near 40th Street and Camelback Road. When officers arrived they learned there were suspicious items located inside the mail. Additional resources responded to collect the items and secure the area,” Phoenix Police Department Sergeant Phil Krynsky said.
“There have been no reports of injury and the investigation remains active,” he said.
Lake has a secret for Wyoming GOP Rep. Liz Cheney. Lake revealed that Cheney’s $500,000 smear campaign against her has actually helped her campaign.
Lake trolled Cheney by sending her a “thank you” letter for her $500,000 ad buy against Lake. She jokingly called “the Cheney anti-endorsement the gift that keeps on giving.”
Cheney, who was blown out in the Wyoming primary in August and will be out of office in a few months, has begun supporting Democrats running against Republicans in several races. Cheney’s Great Task PAC announced on Friday it would spend more than $500,000 on broadcast and online ads against Arizona Republican candidates Lake and Mark Finchem, the GOP secretary of state nominee.
“You have a candidate for Governor, Kari Lake, you have a candidate for Secretary of State, Mark Finchem, both of whom have said that they will only honor the results of an election if they agree with it,” Cheney said in the ad. “And if you care about the survival of our Republic, we cannot give people power who will not honor elections.”
In the letter to Cheney, which was addressed to “Defeated Member of Congress,” Lake noted that Cheney’s ad buys led to “skyrocketing” campaign donations and increased website traffic.
Lake said: “Thank you for your generous in-kind contribution to my campaign. Your recent television ad urging Arizonans not to vote for me is doing just the opposite. Our campaign donations are skyrocketing and our website nearly crashed from traffic as people rushed to learn more about my plan to put Arizona First and join our historic political movement.”
“In fact, my team tells me your commercial should add another 10 points to our lead,” Lake added. “I guess that’s why they call the Cheney anti-endorsement the gift that keeps on giving.”
“While we appreciate your in-kind contribution, the $500,000 ad buy likely exceeds Arizona’s $5,300 individual contribution limit,” Lake noted.
“Thank you again for the huge boost to our campaign! Enjoy your forced retirement from politics,” Lake concluded. “I know America will rest easier knowing that one more warmonger is out of office.”

The letter ended with a postscript that read, “Make Arizona Great Again!”
During an appearance earlier this week on Fox News, Lake spoke with host Tucker Carlson about how Cheney’s anti-Trump efforts have only helped her campaign.
Carlson asked: “I’ve never voted for a Democrat. Well, of course, Liz Cheney is a left-wing Democrat who won’t stop lying. So, in response to that ad, Kari Lake wrote this letter to Liz Cheney, it begins: ‘Dear Liz, thank you for your generous in-kind contribution to my campaign. Your recent TV ad urging Arizonans not to vote for me is doing just the opposite. Our donations are skyrocketing and our website nearly crashed from the traffic.’ Kari Lake is running for governor of Arizona, as noted, she joins us tonight. Kari Lake, thanks so much for coming on. Is that true?”
Lake didn’t mince her words with her response.
“That’s true. Liz Cheney is now officially my biggest fundraiser to date. We’ve raised a half million dollars since she did the anti-endorsement and people still flocking to our website KariLake.com and donating. It’s been an incredible boom for us in fundraising, so I have to extend a big thank you to Liz. At this rate, Tucker, we might have to invite her to our inaugural ball because we’ll have to thank her for bringing in so much fundraising money for us,” Lake began.
“I’m dangerous to people like Liz Cheney and the folks that she hangs out with and they want to stop people like me,” Lake added.
