Saudi Prince Brokered Griner Release 2 Days After U.S. Dropped Kashoggi Suit

December 8, 2022 at 05:18PM Brittney Griner released in prisoner swap for Viktor Bout

A dramatic White House deal that secured the sudden release of Brittney Griner from a Russian penal colony sparked joyous scenes – but was immediately plunged into controversy.

President Biden hugged and celebrated with WNBA star Griner’s wife in the Oval Office as the news of a prisoner swap with Russia was announced.

Yet it triggered despair for the family of a Marine who has been left behind in Russia – and condemnation that Griner was swapped for ‘Merchant of Death’ arms dealer Viktor Bout, whose arms sales have cost countless lives including US servicemen.

The deal was brokered with Vladimir Putin, responsible for the genocide in Ukraine – and with the help of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, just 48 hours after the U.S. dropped a lawsuit holding him responsible for the murder of Saudi dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

The news was met with anger by supporters of former Marine Paul Whelan, who remains in Russian prison. Republicans condemned that as ‘unconscionable’ and said the White House was focused on ‘celebrities’ over veterans detained by Putin.

President Joe Biden addressed the nation from the White House on Thursday morning to discuss Brittney Griner’s release as well as the conditions of Americans still detained abroad

Biden says Brittney Griner is ‘safe’ and ‘on her way home’

Whelan said from prison that he was ‘greatly disappointed’ the Biden administration did not do more to secure his release alongside Griner and said he was ready to ‘go home’.

Republican leader Kevin McCarthy called it ‘unconscionable’ to leave behind Whelan. He said: ‘Merchant of Death – that’s the nickname of the prisoner Biden returned to Putin. He was convicted of conspiring to kill American law enforcement.

‘This is a gift to Vladimir Putin, and it endangers American lives. Leaving Paul Whelan behind for this is unconscionable.’

In the Kremlin the announcement was seen as a ‘New Year’s gift’ to bring home Bout, a former KGB officer who sold arms to human rights abusers in Africa and was linked to deals with the Taliban and Al Qaeda.

A senior administration official would not comment directly on MBS’s role but said the U.S. will ‘continue to lean on partners around the world’ to secure the release of unjustly detailed Americans.

The 32-year-old Griner was flown from Moscow to Abu Dhabi on a private jet on Thursday morning and walked across the tarmac to her plane home past ‘Merchant of Death’ Bout. Griner was facing nine years in a Russian penal colony, where she was expected to toil in sweatshop conditions while sewing for 12 hours or more per day.

Addressing the nation from the White House on Thursday morning, the president said Griner was ‘in good spirits’ while returning home after undergoing ‘intolerable’ circumstances in Russian custody.

Russian President Vladimir Putin (R) toasts with Russian soldiers after awarding them with the Gold Star medal on the eve of the ‘Heroes of the Fatherland Day’ at the Kremlin in Moscow on December 8, 2022, the day the US announced it was returning arms dealer Viktor Bout

When asked about Whelan, Biden insisted the administration was still in talks with his family and were trying to get him home.

Biden spoke with Griner on the phone Thursday, while in the Oval Office with her wife Cherelle.

He said: ‘Brittney is an incomparable athlete, a two-time Olympic gold medalist for Team USA. She endured mistreatment at a show trial in Russia with characteristic grit and incredible dignity. She represents the best America – the best about America.

‘This is a day we’ve worked toward for a long time. We never stopped pushing for her release.

‘It took painstaking and intense negotiations, and I want to thank all the hard-working public servants across my administration who work tirelessly to secure her release.’

Minutes after Biden’s remarks, Republican lawmakers heckled the prisoner swap.

‘So a basketball star is released, we can celebrate, but what about Paul Whelan? An American unjustly detained for years,’ Illinois GOP Rep. Adam Kinzinger said.

‘May not be high profile but he is innocent. This is a dangerous road.’

Rep. Mike Waltz of Florida stated: ‘Where is U.S. Marine Paul Whelan, who has been unjustly held by Russia for far longer? Celebrities over veterans?’

Whelan’s family, meanwhile, said shortly before Biden spoke that they are ‘glad’ for Griner’s freedom but that his continued detention is a ‘catastrophe.’

Indirectly addressing their concern, the president said from the podium: ‘This was not a choice of which American to bring home.’

‘We’ve not forgotten about Paul Whelan, who has been unjustly detained in Russia for years,’ Biden said. ‘Sadly, for totally illegitimate reasons Russia is treating Paul’s case differently than Brittney’s.’

‘And while we have not yet succeeded in securing Paul’s release, we are not giving up. We will never give up.’

Biden said the White House remains ‘in close touch’ with Whelan’s family and commiserated with their ‘mixed emotions’ over Griner’s homecoming.

‘We’ll keep negotiating in good faith for Paul’s release – I guarantee that. I say that to the family. I guarantee you,’ the president said.

‘I urge Russia to do the same, to ensure the Paul’s health and humane treatment are maintained until we can bring him home. I don’t want any Americans to ship wrongfully detained and one extra day if we can bring that person home.’

The president made no mention of American Marc Fogel of Oklahoma, a teacher who is also detained in Russia on marijuana-related charges.

Asked directly about the Saudi Arabian Crown Prince MBS’s role in the negotiations, a senior administration official said: ‘In the course of getting to this happy result with respect to Brittney, and in the course of working to secure the release of Paul, as we continue to do, we have and I’m sure we’ll continue to lean on partners around the world to work this through with us, to give us their ideas, and to impress upon the Russians how important it is to us to resolve these sorts of cases.’

‘And we appreciate when those partners do help us. And I’ll leave it there.’

Reports that MBS helped broker the deal came two days after a US federal judge rejected a lawsuit against him and other Saudi officials over Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi’s violent death.

Whelan’s family said: ‘I am so glad that Brittney Griner is on her way home. As the family member of a Russian hostage, I can literally only imagine the joy she will have, being reunited with her loved ones, and in time for the holidays.’

‘There is no greater success than for a wrongful detainee to be freed and for them to go home. The Biden Administration made the right decision to bring Ms. Griner home, and it make the deal that was possible, rather than waiting for one that wasn’t going to happen,’ the statement continued.

They confirmed that administration officials told them ‘in advance’ about Griner’s release and Whelan’s continued detention.

‘That early warning meant that our family has been able to mentally prepare for what is now a public disappointment for us. And a catastrophe for Paul.’

Massachusetts Democratic Rep. Bill Keating lauded the swap but reiterated the need to bring Whelan home.

‘While we are very happy that Brittany[sp] Griner is returning home, we cannot forget we still have Americans unlawfully detained in Russia – specifically Paul Whelan. I have been in touch with his family, and they and Paul deserve all of our country’s efforts to bring him home,’ Keating wrote on Twitter.

Suspected Russian arms smuggler Viktor Bout, center, is led by armed Thai police commandos as he arrives at the criminal court in Bangkok, Thailand in Oct. 5, 2010. Russia has freed WNBA star Brittney Griner on Thursday in a dramatic high-level prisoner exchange, with the U.S. releasing notorious Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout

Brittney Griner’s wife says ‘today is a happy day’ on her return

In a statement celebrating Griner’s release, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi added, ‘Congress stand firmly with the Administration as they continue working to secure the release of Paul Whelan and other Americans unjustly detained in Russia.’

‘Congress and the Country are overjoyed to learn that, thanks to the committed and focused leadership of President Biden, Brittney Griner is finally free,’ Pelosi said.

‘For nearly ten long months, Brittney Griner suffered unthinkable trauma as she was wrongfully imprisoned by the Russian government. Putin’s cruelty against Brittney – and his monstrous actions against Ukraine – are staggering reminders of his brazen contempt for human rights, human dignity and the rule of law.’

Griner was sentenced in August following her February arrest at an airport in Moscow, when Russian authorities say she was caught entering the country with vape cartridges containing cannabis oil. She had been at a detention center near Moscow until November 4, when she was moved to the IK-2 facility in Yavas.

The two-time Olympic gold medalist’s monthslong imprisonment brought attention to the population of wrongful detainees in Russia, while adding pressure on the Biden administration to complete a prisoner swap for Griner’s release.

The swap was confirmed by US officials with direct knowledge of the negotiations who were not authorized to publicly discuss the deal before a White House announcement and spoke on condition of anonymity. Biden spoke with Griner on the phone Thursday while her wife, Cherelle, was in the Oval Office. The president was to address reporters later in the morning

Griner was in IK-2 in Yavas, one of several penal colonies in the region, according to Reuters÷

Griner’s wife Cherelle delivered brief remarks after the president, calling Griner’s period of detention ‘the darkest moments of my life.’

‘And so today I’m just standing here, overwhelmed with emotions,’ she said.

‘But the most important emotion that I have right now is just sincere gratitude for President Biden and his entire administration.’

Russian and US officials had conveyed cautious optimism in recent weeks after months of strained negotiations, with Biden saying in November that he was hopeful that Russia would engage in a deal now that the midterm elections were completed. A top Russian official said last week that a deal was possible before year’s end.

In releasing Bout, the US freed a a former Soviet Army lieutenant colonel whom the Justice Department once described as one of the world’s most prolific arms dealers. Bout, whose exploits inspired a Hollywood movie, was serving a 25-year sentence on charges that he conspired to sell tens of millions of dollars in weapons that U.S officials said were to be used against Americans.

  • Stop What You’re Doing And Listen to Tucker Carlson Give a Perfect Break Down of the Biggest ‘Crisis’ in America

Stop What You’re Doing And Listen to Tucker Carlson Give a Perfect Break Down of the Biggest ‘Crisis’ in America

December 8, 2022 at 06:58AM Stop What You’re Doing And Listen to Tucker Carlson Give a Perfect Break Down of the Biggest ‘Crisis’ in America

Tucker Carlson, in a must-watch segment on Fox & Friends on Wednesday, has perfectly encapsulated the biggest ‘crisis’ facing America today. Watch:

“All right, what do you think about this whole thing, because more and more of the onion has been peeled back?” Ainsley Earhardt asked.

“Well, this, this is the core of the onion,” Tucker Carlson replied. “This story is not about some private company deciding what language is safe or permitted and what’s not. It’s not content moderation. It’s censorship being overseen by the U.S. government, which is a crime. It’s a violation of the First Amendment. It’s the core freedom that we have, the freedom to say what we think is true. That’s why this country is different from every other country. It’s not our economy, you know, that — that is American exceptionalism is the First Amendment, period. That’s the foundation of all freedom.”

“And so if you find yourself in a place where the government is censoring political speech, if the ruling party is preventing criticism of itself, which is exactly what’s happening, then you know, you’re in a crisis,” Carlson continued. “And we are. So this — this — this, Jim Baker was, of course, General Counsel over at FBI, the very center of the Russiagate hoax and disaster, an attack on human rights. It’s the guy who, who tried to put Mike Flynn in jail for knowing too much. That’s not an overstatement.”

“He somehow winds up general counsel at Twitter, and now we find he — he wasn’t vetting the files, he was censoring the files, of course, to take out incriminating information about himself and the FBI,” he went on. “So this story is about the FBI, it’s not about Twitter. And it’s also about Facebook, because we know that the FBI went to Facebook, because Mark Zuckerberg told us that in the Joe Rogan interview, and said, ‘Whoa, be careful with this Hunter Biden laptop, it’s Russian.’ Well, of course, they knew it wasn’t because they’ve had possession of it since 2019.”

“This is not a complicated story, it’s very simple story. The FBI weighed in, in the last presidential election on behalf of Joe Biden, period,” Carlson added. “And we need to respond to that.”

“Absolutely. And I think the thing is, they want to make it complicated,” Kilmeade responded. “You break it down.”

Tucker is referring to the revelations from the Twitter Files, which are a set of documents that new Twitter CEO Elon Musk had authorized to be released to the public about the company’s deliberations to censor information prior to the 2020 election.

Matt Taibbi, a veteran left-leaning journalist, had been given the Twitter Files exposing Biden campaign and DNC coordination with the social media platform regarding censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop story. But one thing was absent: Mention of the FBI.

Taibbi claimed that Jim Baker, a former General Counsel for the FBI, had vetted the information given to him without knowledge of Twitter’s new management and delayed giving the documents to him. The widespread assumption, awaiting confirmation of a more extensive released of the Twitter Files, is that Baker may have stripped out information that implicated the FBI in the decision.

Miranda Devine, author of “The Laptop from Hell,” urged Elon Musk to “stop playing games” and release all the information. Devine had noted there is a suspect lack of documentation of the FBI’s role in the Hunter Biden laptop story’s suppression. Musk had claimed that he “Only discovered this on Sunday.”

“Oh come on, [Elon Musk]. It was obvious Friday that someone had excised mention of the FBI from #TwitterFiles,” Devine tweeted. “Wasn’t hard to guess who when you knew Twitter’s lawyer was James Baker, the FBI’s Russiagate quarterback. Which you had to know. Just release it all. Stop playing games.”

Jack Dorsey, the former CEO of Twitter, also urged Musk to release all the Twitter Files “without filter.”

“If the goal is transparency to build trust, why not just release everything without filter and let people judge for themselves?” Dorsey tweeted. “Including all discussions around current and future actions? Make everything public now.”

As Becker News reported earlier, there is “smoking gun” evidence that former Head of Trust & Safety Yoel Roth had gotten specific information from the FBI about the Hunter Biden laptop story being potential “Russian disinformation” prior to the 2020 election.

Yoel Roth provided testimony in December 2020 in response to a complaint with the Federal Elections Commission that Twitter’s intervention to suppress the Hunter Biden laptop story constituted an illegal ‘in-kind contribution’ to the Biden campaign. Roth, contrary to information disclosed in the Twitter Files, provided testimony in an “exhibit” to the FEC response that implicates the FBI.

“Since 2018, I have had regular meetings with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the Department of Homeland Security, the FBI, and industry peers regarding election security,” he revealed.

“During these weekly meetings, the federal law enforcement agencies communicated that they expected ‘hack-and-leak operations’ by state actors might occur in the period shortly before the 2020 presidential election, likely in October,” he went on. “I was told in these meetings that the intelligence community expected that individuals associated with political campaigns would be subject to hacking attacks and that material obtained through those hacking attacks would likely be disseminated over social media platforms, including Twitter. These expectations of hack-and-leak operations were discussed throughout 2020. I also learned in these meetings that there were rumors that a hack-and-leak operation would involve Hunter Biden.”

This is a very important concession. Despite claims that Twitter’s censorship of the Hunter Biden story came solely at the behest of the Biden campaign staff and the Democratic National Committee, Roth’s testimony highly suggests that the U.S. security state apparatus was deeply implicated in Twitter’s decision to remove the story.

There is further evidence that the FBI was coordinating with big social media platforms like Twitter on a ‘day-to-day’ basis regarding alleged “Russian interference” in the election, such as the Hunter Biden laptop story. FBI Agent Elvis Chan provided testimony during a lawsuit brought by state attorneys general against Big Tech censorship that the FBI and the Cybersecurity Infrastructure and Security Administration were deeply involved in such social media policing. On Wednesday, the court transcript of Agent Chan’s testimony was released and corroborated earlier reports.

“Mr. Chan, or Agent Chan, who do you recall on the social media platform side participating in these — in these working group meetings that you have been testifying about from 2020 and 2022?”

“The companies that I remember attending the meetings are Facebook; Microsoft; Google; Twitter; Yahoo!, which have been known as Verizon Media at the time; Wikimedia Foundation and Reddit,” Agent Chan said.

Chan was then asked why the FBI was participating in these meetings.

“And why are you included in particular?”

“The reason that I attend these meetings is because the way the FBI works is FBI field offices are responsible for maintaining day-to-day relationships with the companies that are headquartered in their area of responsibility, which I may occasionally abbreviate AOR,” Chan responded. “And all of the companies that have been listed, with the exception of Microsoft, are all headquartered in San Francisco’s territory.”

Chan also testified that he was in regular contact with Facebook’s Steven Siegel and Twitter’s Yoel Roth, as reported by Lee Fang.

Yoel Roth, formerly Twitter’s Head of Trust and Safety, was recently terminated by Elon Musk, as was Twitter’s General Counsel Jim Baker, who was formerly the FBI’s General Counsel.

Chan also related the the U.S. government is in regular correspondence with major social media platforms regarding elections; namely, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (or CISA).

Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt, one of the attorneys general that filed the lawsuit, earlier disclosed an overview of FBI agent Elvis Chan’s testimony on ‘weekly meetings’ about censoring Internet posts ahead of the 2020 election.

“In our deposition of FBI agent Elvis Chan on Tuesday, we found that the FBI plays a big role in working with social media companies to censor speech – from weekly meetings with social media companies ahead of the 2020 election to asks for account takedowns,” Schmitt wrote in a Twitter thread.

This is not only unconstitutional restriction of Americans’ freedom of speech, it is also a massive case of election interference.

Tucker Carlson has perfectly encapsulated the gravest threat to the American people: Censorship of their speech based on alleged “safety” and “security.”

December 2, 2022 at 05:20PM DEVELOPING: Elon Musk will Publish Reason Twitter Suppressed Hunter Biden Laptop Story Today at 5 PM ET

Elon Musk announced he will be publishing the real reason behind Twitter’s decision to block the Hunter Biden laptop story ahead of the 2020 general election.

Musk said the Hunter Biden files will be published Friday at 5 PM ET.

“What really happened with the Hunter Biden story suppression by Twitter will be published on Twitter at 5pm ET!” Elon Musk said.

    Grab your popcorn!

The New York Post released damning and explosive contents from Hunter Biden’s laptop in October 2020 several days before the general election.

Twitter banned The New York Post at the time for their reporting on crackhead Hunter and his illegal dealings.

The information came straight from Hunter Biden’s laptop.

The New York Post was locked out of Twitter for several weeks and every account that tweeted about Hunter’s laptop from hell was also banned.

Twitter interfered in the 2020 election and today we are going to see behind the curtain.

  • Musk kicks Kanye West off Twitter after he posts Star of David merged with swastika

Musk kicks Kanye West off Twitter after he posts Star of David merged with swastika

Musk kicks Kanye West off Twitter after he posts Star of David merged with swastika

Elon Musk kicked Kanye West off Twitter on Friday “for incitement to violence,” after the rapper posted a picture that showed a swastika interlaced with a Star of David.

The post came hours after an interview with conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, in which West sparked outrage by declaring his “love” of Nazis and admiration for Adolf Hitler.

The photo was captioned with the words “Love everyone #lovespeech.”

West had also shared a picture of a shirtless Musk getting sprayed with water, captioned: “Let’s always remember this as my final tweet.”

In response, Musk said: “Just clarifying that his account is being suspended for incitement to violence, not an unflattering pic of me.”

“I tried my best. Despite that, he again violated our rule against incitement to violence. Account will be suspended,” Musk tweeted.

Musk, who previously called himself a “free speech absolutist,” has repeatedly said he believes all content permitted by law should be allowed on Twitter, and sought to remake the social media organization after he took control in October.

In an hours-long appearance on Infowars, the show fronted by Jones, West — now known as Ye — wore a black mask completely covering his face, as he ranted about sin, pornography and the devil.

“I like Hitler,” West said several times.

Elon Musk speaks at the SATELLITE Conference and Exhibition in Washington on March 9, 2020. (AP/Susan Walsh, File)

West hid his face completely under a mask that had neither eye nor mouth slits.

However, Jones addressed him as West as they spoke, Infowars billed the interview as being with West, and at one point Jones took West’s cellphone and posted a tweet on his account that appeared in real-time.

West, who has hinted he is running for US president in 2024, has spoken openly about his struggles with mental illness, but his erratic behavior has continued to raise concerns.

The businessman has seen his commercial relationships crumble after a series of antisemitic comments, as the one-time titan of fashion and music appears to have entered a disturbing spiral.

On Infowars, West drew shocked laughter and even disagreement from far-right host Jones.

“I see good things about Hitler also,” he told Jones. “This guy… invented highways, invented the very microphone that I used as a musician, you can’t say out loud that this person ever did anything good, and I’m done with that.”

Hitler did not invent either of those things.

“I’m done with the classification, every human being has something of value that they brought to the table, especially Hitler,” he said, adding, “I like Hitler.”

Jones, a serial provocateur who was ordered to pay hundreds of millions of dollars in damages for claiming one of America’s deadliest school shootings was a “hoax,” interjected that “the Nazis were thugs and did really bad things.”

    West did not back down.

“But they did good things too. We gotta stop dissing the Nazis all the time… I love Nazis,” West said. “I love Jewish people, but I also love Nazis.”

Hours after the interview, social media platform Parler, a favorite of conservatives for its hands-off approach to moderation, said a deal for West to buy the outfit was off.

“Parlement Technologies would like to confirm that the company has mutually agreed with Ye to terminate the intent of sale of Parler,” the network said on Twitter.

“This decision was made in the interest of both parties in mid-November.”

In October, German sportswear giant Adidas severed its lucrative tie-up with West after the star made anti-Semitic statements, including threatening to “go death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE,” using a misspelled reference to US military readiness.

Paris fashion house Balenciaga and US clothing retailer Gap also ended ties with West, who appeared at a Paris fashion show wearing a shirt with the slogan “White Lives Matter,” a rebuke to the Black Lives Matter racial equality movement.

West appeared on Infowars alongside Nick Fuentes, the same white supremacist with whom West had dinner last week at former president Donald Trump’s Florida estate, in a meeting that provoked outrage.

Thursday’s livestream sparked immediate condemnation from the Republican Jewish Coalition, which dubbed the three men “a disgusting triumvirate of conspiracy theorists, Holocaust deniers, and antisemites.”

“Given his praise of Hitler, it can’t be overstated that Kanye West is a vile, repellent bigot who has targeted the Jewish community with threats and Nazi-style defamation,” a statement from the group said.

“Conservatives who have mistakenly indulged Kanye West must make it clear that he is a pariah. Enough is enough.”

  • FTX’s “SBF” Tells All Sorts of Stories About His Actions

FTX’s “SBF” Tells All Sorts of Stories About His Actions

December 1, 2022 at 07:08AM FTX’s “SBF” Tells All Sorts of Stories About His Actions

Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) couldn’t tell the truth if he wanted.  His claims now appear dishonest at best but what do you expect from someone who stole $4 billion from his own company?

Zerohedge shared this morning on a recent interview with SBF.

Bankman-Fried started the interview by saying he’s deeply sorry about what happened.

“I didn’t ever try to commit fraud on anyone,” Bankman-Fried (SBF) said.

TRENDING: FINALLY, FINALLY, FINALLY – National Group Uncovers Real-Time Democrat Election Fraud – HERE’S HOW THEY DID IT

He claims he was shocked by what happened this month.

“I have limited access to data,” Bankman-Fried said about his attempt to reconstruct what happened over the past month.

Which makes us wonder – if he didn’t have the data, who did?

When pressed by Sorkin, Bankman-Fried said “I didn’t knowingly commingle funds”.

Which we note is not a denial, and as NYT notes, on the commingling of funds, there appears to be ample evidence suggests that Alameda and FTX shared an account at their U.S. banking partner Silvergate.

    Here is the interview:

Later in the day Zerohedge shared another interview with SBF.  Reminder, this guy cannot be trusted.  At the very least he swindled millions of users of his platform.

We also know that SBF accepted donations for Ukraine.  Also, Ukraine reported that they sent money from the US to FTX to invest in crypto currencies.  We also know that SBF and the top individuals at FTX gave $70 million to the Democrats.  These people were some of the top donors to the Democrats in the 2022 election.

BREAKING EXCLUSIVE: Tens of Billions of US Dollars Were Transferred to Ukraine and then Using FTX Crypto Currency the Funds Were Laundered Back to Democrats in US

SBF now claims that he also gave money to the GOP but this was dark money so there is no way to confirm and he makes claims about Ukraine too.

SBF shared the following per Zerohedge:

Speaking about his political activities, SBF said, “I donated about the same to both parties. […] All of my Republican donations were dark.” He addressed rumors about money laundering of Ukrainian donations:

“The Ukraine one? I wish I could have pulled that off. I wish. I didn’t fully understand the goal of it. I was helping Ukraine launder funds for the Democratic Party? I don’t know why Ukraine is laundering funds for the Democratic Party. I don’t know how they would or why they would.”

I call BS.  This doesn’t sound too convincing.

Now we know that Biden can’t account for $20 billion in money to Ukraine.

Elon Musk Is About To EXPOSE The Establishment

November 30, 2022 at 04:40PM Elon Musk Is About To EXPOSE The Establishment

Elon Musk has been busy cleaning house at Twitter…

Mass layoffs and a huge exodus of left-wing liberals leaving the company in droves after Musk gave the staff an ultimatum on hardcore work ethic have caused noticeable improvements for the social media giant.

Previously, the pro-free speech billionaire fired Twitter’s senior leadership—the ones directly responsible for the censorship policies at Twitter.

Sources claim that Vijaya Gadde, Twitter’s former head of trust & safety, cried when the decision came down to fire her…

Reports indicate that Gadde will receive a handsome severance package valued at $12.5 million, so why the tears? What does she know?

Is she afraid of what will ultimately be revealed through Musk and his team digging through Twitter’s files, archives, emails, and documents?

Musk has previously indicated that he would be quite thorough in his digging and, more recently, he informed users on the site that he will make all documents on Twitter’s suppression of free speech public…

Perhaps some extremely seismic revelations will finally surface on the collusion that occurred between the Biden administration and the tech giant. We will bring you all the updates as they occur.

    Musk recently tweeted:

    Newsmax reports:

The day before, Musk tweeted a poll asking if “Apple should publish all censorship actions it has taken that affect its customers,” which ended with 84.7% voting “yes” and 15.3% voting “no.”

    Western Journal writes:

While Musk is known as an eccentric, humourous individual, he has also proven he is a man of his word, and there’s no reason to doubt that he probably has the goods on how the previous ownership actively worked to suppress voices that didn’t go along with the prescribed progressive narrative.

Unless you read The Daily Mail, which is an English paper published online, you probably didn’t know that Chinese President Xi Jinping sent tanks into a major city last night in order to put down protests against his rule. Virtually no American media outlets even acknowledge that that happened, and that’s pretty weird if you think about it. Imagine, for example, that Hungarian leader Viktor Orbán put tanks into Budapest to crush his political opponents. Would our media notice? Oh, yeah, they would. It’d be on the front page of The New York Times. “Morning Joe” would lead with it, and keep in mind that Hungary is a very small country. It’s got a GDP smaller than South Dakota’s.

China, by profound contrast, has the biggest economy in the world. China is our main global rival. It’s a highly significant place and yet somehow no one in any newsroom in America noticed when Xi Jinping decided to replay Tiananmen Square. They didn’t see it, even though the pictures were on the internet. How is that possible? Could it be that the American news media is covering for the government of China? We can’t say. We’ll let you make the call on that.

We can say, we know for a fact, that Apple is covering for the government of China. Apple is the most valuable company in the world. It’s got a current market cap of trillions of dollars. Financial listings describe Apple as an American company. You can see why they do. Apple is headquartered in the United States. It was founded by Americans. To this day, it’s run by an American citizen, but those facts don’t tell the story. In fact, at this point, Apple is in no sense American. Apple’s loyalty is to the government of China and if you think that’s an overstatement, consider this.

Earlier this month, Apple did the bidding of the Chinese government to crush domestic protests against the Communist Party there. Apple did this by disabling its permanent AirDrop feature in China and so far, only in China. It’s the only country in which it’s disabled. Why did Apple disable that feature in China? Well, because that feature, permanent AirDrop, allows iPhone users to communicate directly with one another without using the internet or cellular networks — both of which in a totalitarian state like China, are controlled by the government and that means that without permanent AirDrop, it’s effectively impossible for freedom-minded citizens to organize with one another. They’re powerless.

Apple, of course, knows this and that’s why when iPhone users in China began using permanent AirDrop to complain about the Communist Party, Apple just shut it down. In other words — again, this is not an overstatement — Apple is now an active collaborator with China’s murderous police state. When tanks roll into a Chinese city, Apple is rooting for the tanks.

Well, for a company based outside San Jose, this seems like a big step: Becoming a partner with a Chinese police state? Yes. And yet, once again, this fact received virtually no coverage in the United States. Apple’s decision to side with the oppressors over the oppressed, Apple’s decision to actively help America’s enemies, to hurt ordinary people seeking freedom, just wasn’t news in the view of The New York Times — not that you should be surprised by it. Apple has been sucking up to the Communist Party of China for many years. Watch this clip from 2017 of the company’s CEO, Tim Cook.

TIM COOK: China has done an unbelievable job of lifting people out of poverty. They’ve done an incredible job and far beyond what any country has done. We were talking about 19, mid-90’s to today, the biggest change is the number of people that have been pulled out of poverty by far and we should all applaud that and we should all feel good about it and so there are, and the environmental leadership today, is very clear and it aligns completely with Apple’s values.

QUESTION: The Chinese environmental league, the government?

COOK: Yes, I mean they’re very fixated on doing the right things to avert climate change.

Oh, a very clever pastiche of half-truths and lies. So, in the first category, it is true that China is far richer than it was 30 years ago. That’s indisputable, but what Tim Cook doesn’t mention is that much of the money and virtually all of the technology, a large proportion of which was stolen, came from the United States. So, that’s a debatable claim at best, but environmental leadership from China? That is not a debatable claim. Tim Cook is telling us in that clip with a straight face that the Chinese government is a model for environmental stewardship. That is completely ludicrous. China is the opposite of that. It’s the greatest offender against the environment. China is the biggest polluter in the world by far.

No country comes close — not just in carbon emissions or building new coal plants, but in plastics, in the ocean, in heavy metals in the ground, polluting the land and the water, China leads the pack. No one’s close. That’s widely known. So, if you’re claiming otherwise, you’re just lying, which Tim Cook absolutely is. The question is: Why is he lying? Why does Apple, as a company, and its CEO in that clip and many others feel the need to cover for the Chinese Communist Party? Why does it feel the need to help the Chinese Communist Party oppress its own citizens? Those are good questions. We reached out today to Apple. We wanted to hear their side of the story. We did not hear back. So instead, we will bring you Tim Cook’s most recent explanation. This is from last year. Here it is.

ANDREW ROSS SORKIN: You’ve been criticized for not speaking out on human rights issues, for example, in China and in other countries as well. This is something I think a lot of companies that have been doing business in China struggle with. A number of companies, as you know, have abandoned China. How do you think about that?

COOK: I think that we have a responsibility as a business to do business in as many places as we can, because I think business is this huge catalyst. I believe in what Tom Watson said is world peace through world trade. You have to get your head around when you’re operating outside the U.S. and any country in the world that there are different laws and so, that’s part of the both the complexity and part of the beauty of the world is that everybody has their own laws and customs.

There’s a reason that guy runs the world’s most valuable company. There’s talent there. Notice the total lack of defensiveness. The question effectively was, “You’re getting rich from business with blood-thirsty dictators.” He’s not bothered by it. “What we’re really doing, Mr. New York Times guy, we’re seeking world peace through world trade.” World peace through world trade? So, helping the Chinese police state put down peaceful protests with tanks — it’s not a sin. It’s a virtue. It’s a blow for world peace. That was Tim Cook’s explanation. In any case, Cook explained, you got to follow the laws of the countries that you operate in. It’s that simple. You don’t want to break the law.

Alright. Well, let’s continue that standard here. In the United States where Apple is headquartered, free speech is the law. It’s the first law. It’s the first guarantee in our Bill of Rights and yet, strangely, for a company that claims to respect local customs, Apple has done far more than its share to eliminate free speech in the United States. We can give you many examples. Here’s a new one. In the middle of the COVID pandemic, a small video-sharing site called Odysee was trying to get approval to be listed on Apple’s App Store. The App Store is one of most powerful things that Apple has. For many people, the app is the portal to the company who’s making the app. So, for a startup like Odysee, getting on the App Store was an essential step. Roughly half of the adults in the United States use iPhones, so if you’re not on the App Store, you’re shafted, but Apple was hesitant to allow Odysee on the App Store.

Why? Well, because, unlike YouTube, owned by Google, Odysee allowed its users to search for information on the origins of COVID and the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Oh, if you used Odysee you might know that the patron of Apple was in fact responsible for the COVID pandemic. Users of Odysee could search for videos challenging also the effectiveness of the COVID vaccines and stopping transmission of the virus. So, to Apple, that kind of free speech, truly free speech, searching for actual answers and not just more propaganda, was totally unacceptable. Apple presented Odysee with a list of nearly two dozen search terms, most related to COVID, that it had to ban if it wanted to join the App Store.

Your users cannot know this if you want to participate in our monopoly and they have a monopoly, and it’s hard to imagine a more serious abuse of monopoly power than what Apple did in that and many other instances. The biggest company in the world banning a video-sharing website, reaching half the country because people might search for accurate information that Apple didn’t want them to see because it might offend their sponsors in communist China.

Well, that’s kind of a story, and yet it went completely unreported at the time. We didn’t know about it until this week and we learned because Elon Musk, who now owns Twitter, revealed on Twitter that Apple may remove Twitter from the App Store as well, and that would, of course, end Twitter. You don’t go to Twitter except through its app. Could that happen? Well, there are signs that it might.

The executive who runs Apple’s App Store, a man called Phil Schiller, just deleted his Twitter account. Well, that’s weird. Apple has virtually stopped buying ads on Twitter. That’s weird too. So would Apple do this? Well, several tech developers are coming forward to confirm that this is exactly how Apple operates and has for years. When Apple threw the social media company Parler off the App Store — remember that? — because they allowed Donald Trump to speak, you thought it was an anomaly, but it wasn’t.

This is what they do and few people really understood that. In fact, for years, even the most cynical observers assumed that big tech companies like Apple censor speech. Yes, they do, but only in extraordinary circumstances. Oh, no, they do it all the time. In fact, Apple engages in large-scale secretive censorship and always and everywhere Apple helps the Chinese government, so preventing American citizens from saying what they believe or getting to the truth about something while bolstering the power of one of the most repressive governments in the world.

This summer, for example, an FTC commissioner called Brendan Carr went to Apple about TikTok. TikTok was and is on the App Store. No threat of TikTok being kicked off and the FTC commissioner told Apple that TikTok was likely harvesting private user data from hundreds of millions of Americans and sending those data back to China. Now, Apple must have known that what Carr was telling them was likely true, but Apple ignored him anyway and did nothing. So, step back and consider the priorities, Apple’s priorities, that are in stark display here.

Twitter must be silenced because it allows Americans to exercise their birthright, which is free speech, a prerequisite for a free society and a democracy, but TikTok must be protected because the Chinese government uses TikTok as a tool of espionage. That is Apple’s position. At this point, the real question is, will Apple be allowed to strangle Twitter, which it could, because it has monopoly power? So far, virtually no one in American politics seems to have noticed this is happening. No one certainly is moving to stop Apple from doing it. In a moment we will speak to the governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, who said today he believes that Apple would be abusing its monopoly power if it did that.

Deep State Falsely Convicts Oathkeeper Founder For Seditious Conspiracy. (He was nothing more than a bumbling membership dues collector)

November 29, 2022 at 05:38PM Right-wing Oath Keepers founder convicted of sedition in U.S. Capitol attack plot

WASHINGTON, Nov 29 (Reuters) – Stewart Rhodes, founder of the right-wing Oath Keepers militia group, was convicted by a jury on Tuesday of seditious conspiracy for last year’s attack on the U.S. Capitol in a failed bid to overturn then-President Donald Trump’s 2020 election loss – an important victory for the Justice Department.

Rhodes, a Yale Law School-educated former Army paratrooper and disbarred attorney, was accused by prosecutors during an eight-week trial of fomenting a plot to use force to block Congress from certifying President Joe Biden’s election victory over Trump.

His was the first verdict read out on behalf of the 12-member jury in the most significant of the numerous trials arising from the deadly Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot. U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta has presided over the trial.

The other verdicts were still being read.

The four co-defendants of Rhodes in the trial are Kelly Meggs, Kenneth Harrelson, Jessica Watkins and Thomas Caldwell. Rhodes, who wears an eye patch after accidentally shooting himself in the face with his own gun, is one of the most prominent defendants of the roughly 900 charged so far in connection with the attack.

Rhodes in 2009 founded the Oath Keepers, a militia group whose members include current and retired U.S. military personnel, law enforcement officers and first responders. Its members have showed up, often heavily armed, at protests and political events around the United States including the racial justice demonstrations following the murder of a Black man named George Floyd by a white Minneapolis police officer.

Prosecutors during the trial said Rhodes and his co-defendants planned to use force to prevent Congress from formally certifying Biden’s election victory. Meggs, Watkins and Harrelson all entered the Capitol clad in tactical gear.

The defendants was were accused of creating a “quick reaction force” that prosecutors said positioned at a nearby Virginia hotel and was equipped with firearms that could be quickly transported into Washington if summoned.

Fifty witnesses testified during the trial. Rhodes and two of his co-defendants testified in their own defense. They denied plotting any attack or seeking to block Congress from certifying the election results, though Watkins admitted to impeding police officers protecting the Capitol.

Rhodes told the jury he had no plan to storm the Capitol and did not learn that some of his fellow Oath Keepers had breached the building until after the riot had ended.

Prosecutors during cross-examination sought to paint Rhodes as a liar, showing him page after page of his inflammatory text messages, videos, photos and audio recordings. These included Rhodes lamenting about not bringing rifles to Washington on Jan. 6 and saying he could have hanged U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a Democrat reviled by the right, from a lamppost.

Watkins, a transgender woman who fled the U.S. Army after being confronted with homophobic slurs, and Caldwell, a disabled U.S. Navy veteran, also chose to testify.

Watkins admitted to having “criminal liability” for impeding police officers inside the Capitol and apologized. At the same time, Watkins denied having any plan to storm the building, describing being “swept up” just as enthusiastic shoppers behave on “Black Friday” when they rush into stores to purchase discount-price holiday gifts like TVs.

Caldwell, who like Rhodes did not enter the Capitol building and never formally joined the Oath Keepers, tried to downplay some of the inflammatory texts he sent in connection with the attack. Caldwell said some of the lines were adapted from or inspired by movies such as “The Princess Bride” and cartoons such as Bugs Bunny.

Four other Oath Keepers members charged with seditious conspiracy are due to go to trial in December. Members of another right-wing group called the Proud Boys, including its former chairman Enrique Tarrio, also are due to head to trial on seditious conspiracy charges in December.
