Democrat Joe Biden delivered another manic address to the nation to make his case that only his tyrannical supporters should have any government power or authority. Biden made more shocking and defamatory comments about his political opponents, who appear to be ready to take the two political chambers that could defang him as POTUS.
According to Fox News, Conservatives ridiculed Biden’s “despicable” Wednesday speech in which he warned midterm voters of the threats to ‘democracy’ ahead of Election Day.
During his last address before the balance of power would be decided in Washington D.C., Biden pleaded with Americans to vote against Republicans, accusing them of being election deniers and MAGA extremists who have encouraged political violence, promoted former President Donald Trump’s “Big Lie” about the 2020 election and engaged in voter intimidation.
‘Rather than focusing on the main issues voters are most concerned about, namely rampant inflation and other economic woes, Biden’s speech pointed the finger at his political opponents. He noted the assault against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, decrying the violence and misinformation supposedly fostered by extremist Republicans,” Fox News reported..
The Washington Times reported with more details about the original speech:
Biden on Wednesday made his closing campaign pitch to voters for next week’s midterm election, warning that “dark forces” within the Republican Party are trying to subvert democracy.
Speaking from Union Station, which stands in the shadow of the U.S. Capitol, Mr. Biden said the threat of a Jan. 6-style insurrection was smoldering within the GOP and stoked by candidates allied with former President Donald Trump.
He said those “MAGA Republicans” — who he said were a minority in the GOP — were on “a path to chaos” that posed a grave threat to American democracy.
The president appealed for Americans to vote in next week’s election saying it was critical to preserving democracy. He cautioned against backing election deniers on the ballot, saying “it is damaging, it is corrosive, and it’s destructive.”
“This is no ordinary year,” Mr. Biden said. “In a typical year, we are not often faced with the question of whether the vote we cast will preserve democracy or put it at risk. But we are this year.”
Republican National Committee Chairman Ronna McDaniel panned Mr. Biden’s speech as “desperate and dishonest.”
“Joe Biden promised unity but has instead demonized and smeared Americans while making life more expensive for all. While Republicans remain focused on the issues that matter most to voters, Biden and Democrats are flailing in the final days because they have lost touch with the concerns of families struggling to get by,” she said in a statement.
The location for the president’s address was chosen to remind voters of the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol when a pro-Trump mob stormed the building trying to stop the certification of Mr. Biden’s 2020 election win.
Mr. Biden kicked off his speech by drawing a direct line between the Jan. 6 riot to an assailant’s violent attack on Paul Pelosi last week. Mr. Pelosi, who is married to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, suffered serious injuries, including a skull fracture, after the assailant invaded his home in San Francisco.
The president said former Mr. Trump and his allies’ endless denial of the nation’s 2020 election results fueled the attack.
“The big lie that the election of 2020 had been stolen — it is a lie that fueled the dangerous rise of political violence and voter intimidation over the past two years,” Mr. Biden said.
The remarks were part of a political event hosted by the Democratic National Committee and not an official White House speech. It echoed many of the same points Mr. Biden has been making for weeks, starting with his prime-time speech in Philadelphia where he railed against “MAGA Republicans.”
He repeated many of the same themes at a speech Tuesday in Florida and the Wednesday speech in Washington.
Mr. Biden has repeatedly warned of the threat posed by election deniers and extremists in the run-up to the midterms, but that message has not resonated.
Republicans are surging in the closing days of the election season as inflation, the economy, and crime have emerged as voters’ top concerns. It is widely expected that Republicans will regain control of the House and possibly the Senate on Nov. 8.
“The scare tactics and fear-mongering aren’t working,” said Jimmy Keady, a Republican strategist. “Voters are fed up with the economy, crime, and open border and I don’t think anything Biden does in the next six days is going to matter.”
Democratic strategist Hank Sheinkopf agreed that Mr. Biden casting himself and his party as protectors of democracy is not resonating with voters.
“Biden is talking about it because it takes him away from the problems that are facing the nation right now, which are the cost of gas, the cost of food, and the sense that things are out of control. Talking about those issues reminds people that this situation occurred under his presidency when he had the most power to alleviate it,” he said.
A New York Times-Siena College poll released last month found that American voters overwhelmingly (71%) agree that democracy is under threat, but only a few ranked it as a major issue this election. The poll showed that it is voters’ third-highest concern after inflation and the economy. Only 7% of voters ranked it as a major issue for this election cycle.
President John F. Kennedy gave a speech to the press, in August 1961 about the secret societies and said:
“The very word “secrecy” is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it. Even today, there is little value in opposing the threat of a closed society by imitating its arbitrary restrictions. Even today, there is little value in insuring the survival of our nation if our traditions do not survive with it. And there is very grave danger that an announced need for increased security will be seized upon by those anxious to expand its meaning to the very limits of official censorship and concealment.”
So it might be ironic that his nephew, Robert F. Kennedy would bring to attention the new high-tech secret society of this generation, which has recently been exposed:
So many ex-government workers are now employed by Facebook that it’s difficult to view Meta as a private company instead of a government partner, intent on silencing anyone who speaks out against the official narrative.https://t.co/dC6qpJuhwB
Leaked government documents reveal that U.S. government officials have access to a special portal through which they can directly flag Facebook and Instagram posts and request that the posts be “throttled or suppressed,” The Intercept reported Monday.
Internal U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) memos, emails and public documents outline “an expansive effort” by DHS to influence tech platforms, despite the Biden administration’s failure earlier this year to launch a Disinformation Governance Board.
As of Oct. 31, the “content request system” at facebook.com/xtakedowns/login was still live despite the public uproar earlier this year when attorneys general in 20 states threatened legal action unless the Biden administration immediately disbanded the “Orwellian” Disinformation Governance Board.
Mark Crispin Miller, Ph.D., professor of Media, Culture, and Communication at New York University, told The Defender that collusion between the U.S. government and media companies to censor U.S. citizens is nothing new — but it’s become a “catastrophic trend.”
“The Intercept’s reporting validates what many knew was being undertaken by the Department of Homeland Security, despite the scrapping of its Disinformation Governance Board.”
Rectenwald said the coordination between government and media companies validates his claim that social media companies are not merely “private companies” but are “state and uni-party apparatuses” — what he has called “governmentalities” — that “augment the state by adding precision, scope, and penetration to state power.”
Indeed, many of the people in charge of moderating content at Facebook have been recruited from the government, including the CIA, FBI and the U.S. Department of Defense.
“The unholy alliance between the state and these corporations has historically been called fascism,” Rectenwald added.
Biden ‘paused’ widely ridiculed board — publicly, at least
On May 18, the Biden administration “paused” the board, causing Nina Jankowicz, who was tapped to lead the initiative, to resign. However, the still-active portal allows officials with a .gov or law enforcement email address to request censorship in the name of fighting “disinformation.”
Neither DHS nor Meta, Facebook’s parent company, responded to The Intercept’s request for comment on its report.
According to The Intercept, the DHS Disinformation Governance Board was initially designed to police three forms of speech that allegedly threaten U.S. interests:
“Misinformation: false information spread unintentionally.
“Disinformation: false information spread intentionally.
“Malinformation: factual information shared, typically out of context, with harmful intent.”
Even though the board scaled back and then shut down after being met with wide ridicule, other DHS efforts are underway for monitoring social media behind closed doors, according to The Intercept.
An August 2022 report by the DHS Office of Inspector General tracked DHS’s efforts since 2018 to “counter disinformation” — and concluded DHS efforts did not go far enough.
“Although DHS components have worked across various social media platforms to counter disinformation, DHS does not yet have a unified department-wide strategy to effectively counter disinformation that originates from both foreign and domestic sources,” the report said.
“Without a unified strategy, DHS and its components cannot coordinate effectively, internally, or externally to counter disinformation campaigns that appear in social media,” it added.
According to a draft copy of the DHS Quadrennial Homeland Security Review, obtained by The Intercept, the department plans to target “inaccurate information” on a range of topics, including “the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic and the efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines, racial justice, U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, and the nature of U.S. support to Ukraine.”
The draft review also called for DHS to “leverage advanced data analytics technology and hire and train skilled specialists to better understand how threat actors use online platforms to introduce and spread toxic narratives intended to inspire or incite violence, as well as work with NGOs [non-governmental organizations] and other parts of civil society to build resilience to the impacts of false information.”
The draft did not include a concise definition of “threat actors,” an omission Adam Goldstein, vice president of research at the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, found concerning.
“No matter your political allegiances, all of us have good reason to be concerned about government efforts to pressure private social media platforms into reaching the government’s preferred decisions about what content we can see online,” Goldstein told The Intercept.
“Any governmental requests to social media platforms to review or remove certain content should be made with extreme transparency,” he added.
In June 2022, an advisory committee of DHS’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) — which included Vijaya Gadde, Twitter’s head of legal, public policy and trust, and safety lead, and Kate Starbird, Ph.D., associate professor in the Department of Human Centered Design & Engineering at the University of Washington — drafted a report to the CISA director in which the committee called for an expansive role of the agency in shaping the “information ecosystem.”
The committee’s report called on CISA to closely monitor “social media platforms of all sizes, mainstream media, cable news, hyper partisan media, talk radio and other online resources.”
Evidence of ‘deep state’ political censorship, expert says
According to Rectenwald, the DHS has been infringing the First Amendment rights of U.S. citizens — “with the explicit cooperation of social media” — while enforcing official state narratives and dictates.
“Together with social media companies, they comprise an American Pravda,” Rectenwald said. Russia’s Pravda newspaper was the official organ of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from 1918 to 1991.
“DHS’s backdoor portal to Facebook and Instagram is evidence of ‘deep-state,’ political censorship,” Rectenwald said, referring to a “permanent bureaucracy that voters neither elected nor can change, but which operates independently of voters’ wills.”
According to CISA meeting minutes and other records appended to a lawsuit filed by Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt alleging the U.S. government censored the opinions of the scientists who wrote the “Great Barrington Declaration,” discussions among CISA officials revealed the scale and scope of government intervention in online discourse — and went so far as to cover the mechanisms of streamlining takedown requests for false or intentionally misleading information.
For instance, a text message exchanged in February between CISA Director Jen Easterly, and another CISA employee who now works at Microsoft, read: “Platforms have got to get more comfortable with gov’t. It’s really interesting how hesitant they remain.”
And in a March CISA meeting, Laura Dehmlow, an FBI official, said the threat of subversive information on social media might undermine support for the U.S. government.
Notes from that meeting discussion — which was attended by senior executives from Twitter and JPMorgan Chase — showed Dehmlow stressed that “we need a media infrastructure that is held accountable.”
Twitter told The Intercept in a statement, however, that they “do not coordinate with other entities when making content moderation decisions, and we independently evaluate content in line with the Twitter Rules.”
Yet other documents — in addition to the March CISA meeting notes — suggest coordination between the federal government and Twitter regarding the content it allows on its platform.
In July 2021, Twitter locked Alex Berenson, a former New York Times reporter and the author of 13 novels, out of his account a few hours after Biden said the social media companies were “killing people” by allowing vaccine skeptics to speak.
In December 2021, Berenson sued Twitter in federal court, claiming the company had breached its contract with Berenson because it previously assured him he was doing nothing wrong according to their rules and that everything he said on their platform had been accurate.
The internal Twitter communications obtained through discovery revealed the White House had specifically targeted him in its private meeting with Twitter.
The communications showed high-ranking members of the Biden administration — including White House Senior COVID-19 Advisor Andy Slavitt — pushed Twitter to permanently suspend Berenson from the platform.
“I can now bring a claim directly against the White House,” Berenson told Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., in a recent episode of “RFK Jr. The Defender Podcast,” “against people who were in the White House at that time — for trying to abridge my free speech rights.”
More evidence of the federal government’s possible collusion with Big Tech companies to censor users may be revealed as a result of an Oct. 21 federal court ruling that ordered Dr. Anthony Fauci and other top officials to testify under oath at depositions for Attorney General Schmitt’s lawsuit.
Jenin Younes, a New Civil Liberties Alliance attorney involved in the lawsuit, said she looks forward to learning just how far the accused government officials went to push their COVID-19 “perspective.”
“For the first time, Dr. Fauci and seven other federal officials responsible for running an unlawful censorship enterprise will have to answer questions under oath about the nature and extent of their communications with tech companies,” Younes said in a statement to The Epoch Times.
As The Intercept pointed out, the Privacy Act of 1974, created after the Watergate scandal, restricts the government’s ability to collect data from Americans as they exercise their First Amendment rights.
Civil liberty groups have contended the statute limits the ability of the DHS and the FBI to surveil the political speech of Americans on social media, but the statute has exemptions for information collected for the purposes of a criminal or law enforcement investigation.
Faiza Patel, senior director of the Brennan Center for Justice’s Liberty and National Security Program, told The Intercept, “There are no specific legal constraints on the FBI’s use of social media. The attorney general guidelines permit agents to look at social media before there is any investigation at all.”
“So it’s kind of a Wild West out there,” she added.
An FBI official interviewed by The Intercept lamented the country’s move toward warrantless monitoring of its citizens and said, “Man, I don’t even know what’s legal anymore.”
CISA boasted of an evolved mission to monitor social media discussions
Following high-profile hacking incidents of U.S. firms, Congress in 2018 passed — and then-President Donald Trump signed — the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency Act, which formed a new wing of DHS charged with protecting critical national infrastructure.
“From its inception, CISA boasted of an ‘evolved mission’ to monitor social media discussions while ‘routing disinformation concerns’ to private sector platforms,” The Intercept report said.
Additionally, the DHS in 2018 created — under the leadership of then-DHS secretary Kirstjen Nielsen — the Countering Foreign Influence Task Force to respond to election disinformation.
The task force included members of CISA and DHS’s Office of Intelligence and Analysis who together generated “threat intelligence” about the election and then notified social media platforms and law enforcement agencies, according to The Intercept.
In 2019, DHS created yet another branch — the Foreign Influence and Interference Branch — to generate more detailed intelligence about disinformation. That same year, its staff grew to 15 full- and part-time employees dedicated to disinformation analysis.
In 2020, DHS’s disinformation efforts expanded to include COVID-19, according to an Oct. 2020 Homeland Threat Assessment.
In January 2021, under the Biden administration, CISA replaced the Countering Foreign Influence Task Force with the “Misinformation, Disinformation and Malinformation” team in order to “to promote more flexibility to focus on general MDM.”
The ever-present narrative: Censorship not just justified but morally necessary
Crispin Miller traced governmental collusion with media companies limiting free speech back to the 1960s.
“Gradually, over the last sixty years, it’s become increasingly difficult — and, lately, dangerous — to contradict the narratives pumped out by the government and media, Crispin Miller said. “Starting in the late 1960s, those who questioned the official story of JFK’s assassination and other seminal events were largely laughed off as ‘conspiracy theorists.’”
“Over the last 10 years or so, such ridicule has given way to heated condemnation, treating mere dissent from this or that official story as (somehow) an existential danger to us all,” Crispin Miller said.
Crispin Miller continued:
“Thus, for going on three years now, it’s been treated as a crime against humanity to question any of the ‘COVID measures’ forced on all humanity by governments worldwide — especially COVID ‘vaccination,’ which is itself [original emphasis] a crime against humanity, and yet it’s dangerous to say as much.
“Likewise, it’s now treated as (somehow) a crime against democracy, and a dire threat to ‘national security,’ to question the results of an election, with those who do so-called ‘election deniers,’ — as if disbelief in the official outcome of a presidential or congressional race is somehow tantamount to Holocaust [original emphasis] denial.”
Glenn Greenwald, journalist, author and lawyer, also pointed out there is a problematic narrative circulating that regards censorship as both justifiable and morally necessary.
Greenwald, one of the three editors who in 2014 co-founded The Intercept, wrote in an Oct. 28 Substack post:
“Look to any government or society in which censorship prevailed — either today or throughout history. This narrative about why censorship is not just justified but morally necessary is always present.
“Nobody wants to think of themselves as a censorship supporter. They need to be supplied with a story about why they are something different, or at least why the censorship they are led to support is uniquely justified.
“And it works because, in the most warped sense possible, it appeals to reason. If one really believes, as millions of American liberals do, that the U.S. faces two and only two choices — either (1) elect Democrats and ensure they rule or (2) live under a white nationalist fascist dictatorship — then of course such people will believe that media disinformation campaigns, censorship, and other forms of authoritarianism are necessary to ensure Democrats win and their opponents are vanquished.
“Once that self-glorifying rationale is embraced — our adversaries do not merely disagree with us but cause harm with the expression of their views [original emphasis] — then the more suppression, the better.”
“And that is exactly what is happening now,” Greenwald added.
Pouty Gretta Thunberg has been pushed out in the public eye again in what can only be seen as a death rattle of the radical far-left political movement- that has been disguised for years and years as legit concerns about the weather.
The entire “green-woke” agenda is on the chopping block as the blossoming global populist movement has become enraged at the loss of wealth, peace and resources- sacrificed to fix the weather under the left’s leadership- has failed.
So now the left is shifting to admitting they were just trying to focus on destroying ‘capitialism.’
THIS IS WHAT IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN ABOUT.. YOU JUST NEEDED TO LISTEN TO HER PARENTS A FEW YEARS BACK…
Greta Thunberg 🗣️ “It's time to overthrow the West's oppressive and racist capitalist system” https://t.co/MPQIplbgwz
Thunberg is speaking for her handlers and admitting that she is coming out again- because their dying policies have forced them out of their shadows to admit that, yes, it is all for political influence for the Marxist-Globalist left.
Here is the story according to the left-leaning Telegraph:
“Greta Thunberg: It’s time to transform the West’s oppressive and racist capitalist system The activist claims that the world’s current ‘normal’ – dictated by the people in power – has caused the climate breakdown,” India McTaggart reported, adding:
As well as tackling her usual area of climate action, Greta Thunberg has now thrown her weight behind defeating the West’s ‘oppressive’ capitalist system
The 19-year-old Swedish activist has announced that as well as tackling her usual area of climate action and awareness-spreading, she has now thrown her weight behind defeating the West’s “oppressive” capitalist system.
Calling for a “system-wide transformation” at her book launch in London, she claimed that the world’s current “normal” – dictated by the people in power – has caused the climate breakdown.
She said: “We are never going back to normal again because ‘normal’ was already a crisis. What we refer to as normal is an extreme system built on the exploitation of people and the planet.
“It is a system defined by colonialism, imperialism, oppression and genocide by the so-called global North to accumulate wealth that still shapes our current world order.”
Ms Thunberg added: “If economic growth is our only priority, then what we are experiencing now should be exactly what we should be expecting.”
Appearing at London’s Royal Festival Hall to launch her new book, The Climate Book, on Sunday night, she decided to venture into political waters in her speech – having previously avoided doing so.
”We are still here, and we are not planning on going anywhere. Young people all over the world are stepping up, showing that our leaders messed with the wrong generation.”

Expressing views that seemed more radical than in the past, she added that the climate crisis “has its roots in racist, oppressive extractivism that is exploiting both people and the planet to maximise short-term profits for a few”.
People were quick to point out the political emphasis on social media, with one best-selling author saying “this is proof that Greta hates capitalism for reasons that have nothing whatsoever to do with climate change”.
Michael Shellenberger, an American author, posted on Twitter that the “whole capitalist system” Ms Thunberg referred to has led to larger food surpluses than at any point in history, average human life expectancy to rise from 30 to 70 and a drop in total deaths from natural disasters.

— Michael Shellenberger (@ShellenbergerMD) November 1, 2022 Ms Thunberg told Samira Ahmed, the BBC journalist, during a question and answer part of the evening that “fascist movements offering easy, false solutions and scapegoats to complex problems are growing and becoming more normalised”.
When asked by Ms Ahmed whether she thought it was as simple as making laws that outlaw things, she responded: “There are many [things we can do], but while we do these things that we can do within our current system, we have to realise that we need a system-wide transformation.
“We need to change everything because right now our current system is on a collision course with the future of humanity and the future of our civilization”.

The teenager, who is widely hailed as the world’s spokesman for climate change, shot to worldwide fame after attending her first United Nations climate conference in 2018, when the then 15-year-old said: “I expected it to be more action and less talking.”
During the question and answer session on Sunday, she said: “I’m not going to Cop27 for many reasons, but the space for civil society this year is extremely limited.”
This year’s conference, taking place from Nov 6 to 18 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, will see world leaders – including Rishi Sunak – gather to discuss the pressing climate crisis.
“Of course, it’s very symbolic that it’s held in a tourist centre – a tourist paradise – in a country that violates most of the basic human rights – and many world leaders are too busy to go there,” she added.
Addressing the coverage of her political take in the new book on Wednesday morning, she posted on Twitter:
The climate deniers and delayers are so desperate and feel so threatened that they simply make up their own “quotes” from pure lies and fantasies. This is what I have said about systems and ideologies: pic.twitter.com/FNacu4EYZv

Tucker Carlson Deconstructs Joe Biden’s Democracy -vs- Autocracy Midterm Election Speech – The Last Refuge
Democrat Joe Biden delivered another panicked warning on Wednesday about Republicans and the threat that he sees that they pose to his fantasy hopes for the future of democracy in the United States.
Polling is showing that Americans are planning to vote against Democrats in major battleground states, and headlines show that the leading Democrat pundits are very worried about what is expected as the final day to vote, next Tuesday, comes very quickly.
Biden made a media appearance on Wednesday and talked about “preserving and protecting our democracy” and will “addresed the threat of people he deemed were ‘election deniers and those who seek to undermine faith in voting and democracy’.
Pete Santilli said, “Biden, who takes inappropriate showers with his daughter, has zero credibility to advise the country on the election.”
For his opening monologue tonight, Fox News host Tucker Carlson deconstructed Joe Biden’s midterm election speech broadcast on national television Wednesday night. WATCH:
Tucker Carlson: They’re vicious, they’re intolerant, and they are utterly corrupt. And above all they are incompetent. In less than two years, it is not an overstatement to say they have run this country into the ground. Wrecking our economy, desecrating our military, and opening the borders of the United States to 5 million lawbreakers. The destruction they brought is so profound it’s hard to describe.
So of course, there will be consequences for that… How could this party stay in power?
Tonight Joe Biden traveled across the City of Washington to Union Station… Built by Teddy Roosevelt more than 100 years ago, Union Station was for generations one of the most beautiful public buildings in this country. Under Joe Biden, it has become a homeless encampment. A place that is too filthy and too dangerous for Starbucks.
Standing at this monument to his own failures, Biden proceeded to do what he commonly does, bark at the rest of us for our moral failures. The guy who showered with his daughter is telling you, you’re a bad person .

House Democrats are pushing to create a new senior official at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) who would monitor and respond to public “misinformation” about abortion access and other reproductive and sexual health services.
Legislation from Rep. Nikema Williams, D-Ga., and four other Democrats would establish a new “reproductive and sexual health” official within HHS, and policing “misinformation” on abortion would be part of the job.
The official would “collect information regarding, and to address, reproductive and sexual health misinformation being disseminated to the public,” according to the bill text.
“The term ‘reproductive and sexual health misinformation’ includes any information relating to reproductive and sexual health that is not evidence based or medically accurate, including inaccuracy in the provision of any related services,” the language continues.
Under a new bill from Democrats, pro-choice activists would get a like-minded czar at the Department of Homeland security that would fight “misinformation” about abortion access. (Jerry Holt/Star Tribune)
Democrats have been dabbling with the idea of using the federal government to fight “misinformation” and “disinformation” for the last few years. This year, the Department of Homeland Security announced the creation of a “Disinformation Governance Board” to fight inaccurate information about the 2022 midterm elections.
However, that board was quickly questioned by Republicans and Democrats, particularly after DHS appointed Nina Jankowicz to lead it. Jankowicz had questioned the legitimacy of reports regarding Hunter Biden’s laptop before the 2020 election and was seen by Republicans as a partisan who would use her position at DHS to advance the Democrats’ agenda.
A new bill would install a senior pro-choice official at the Department Health and Human Services, led by Secretary Xavier Becerra.
DHS ultimately scrapped the Disinformation Governance Board under pressure from both the left and the right.
The proposed reproductive and sexual health HHS official would do more than fight “misinformation” about abortion and would also act as an advocate for abortion access from a top position inside one of the federal government’s largest agencies.
Among other things, the official would “educate the public” about abortion and other reproductive health care services, in part by making “medically accurate educational materials available.” The official would also assess data about access to abortion, help connect people to funding for abortion and provide information related to “medication abortions conducted outside formal medical settings.”
Democrats are looking to fight “misinformation” about abortion access and want to enlist the help of HHS. (Joshua Comins/Fox News)
Since the Supreme Court stuck down Roe v. Wade and gave states the right to regulate abortion in June, Democrats have been looking for ways to help steer people to abortion services in states with fewer restrictions on the procedure. Just last week, more than a dozen House Democrats proposed giving HHS $100 million over five years to create a public awareness campaign promoting abortion.
That House bill is aimed at helping health care providers the information they need to “navigate the legal landscape” created by differing state rules on abortion. It would also provide information to people about the “negative health impacts on communities when access to abortion and other reproductive health care services is restricted or banned.”
Jimmy Lai was born in China and immigrated to Taiwan as a refugee and grew to be a very wealthy media powerhouse. Lai was captured by the Chinese Communist Party and persecuted and imprisoned.
“I owe my life to freedom,” Lai has repeatedly said. His life’s work to keep Tiawain free from Communist Rule is highlighted in the movie the Hong Kongers:
In in update to his story, the US State Department issued a statement in late October:
The United States condemns the October 25 verdict against Hong Kong democracy advocate Jimmy Lai, founder of the Apple Daily newspaper, on spurious fraud charges.
We remain deeply concerned about the deterioration in protection for human rights and fundamental freedoms and the systematic dismantling of Hong Kong’s autonomy under the National Security Law (NSL). These include increased efforts to wield the NSL to suppress independent media, to silence dissenting views, and to stifle freedom of speech.
Though Lai’s fraud trial was not on NSL grounds, local authorities nonetheless imposed the NSL’s more restrictive legal procedures for this non-NSL case. These actions undermine the PRC’s obligations under the Sino-British Joint Declaration, which is a binding international agreement, to uphold Hong Kong’s high degree of autonomy and protected rights and freedoms.
We urge PRC authorities to restore respect for press freedom in Hong Kong, where a once-vibrant independent media environment has all but disappeared. Efforts to stifle press freedom and restrict the free flow of information undermine Hong Kong’s democratic institutions and hurt Hong Kong’s credibility as a business and financial hub.
Fox News Channel coasted to a first-place finish in the October cable news ratings, sweeping the top five most-watched prime-time shows for the month and delivering an average prime time audience of 2.292 million viewers. MSNBC finished second in prime with 1.177 million viewers, followed by CNN, which failed to break one million, delivering just 624,000 viewers (down 6% from the same period last year). Fox News was down just 1% year-over-year, and MSNBC saw a decline of 2%.
Among viewers 25-54—the key demographic most valued by advertisers—Fox News led with 295,000 viewers (down 15% from 2021), followed by CNN (134,000 viewers, down just 3%) and MSNBC (114,000 viewers, with the largest decline among the cable news networks: 20%.)

Gutfeld!, A Ratings Powerhouse In Late Night, Jumps Into The Top 5 The most-watched shows for the month were The Five (3.406 million viewers), Tucker Carlson Tonight (3.298 million viewers), Jesse Watters Primetime (2.911 million viewers), Hannity (2.741 million viewers), and Special Report with Bret Baier (2.495 million viewers)—all on Fox News.
In the key demo, Tucker Carlson Tonight was the most-watched show in October, with an average audience of 470,000 viewers, followed by The Five (419,000 viewers), Jesse Watters Primetime (364,000 viewers), Hannity (344,000 viewers), and Gutfeld! (337,000 viewers)—all airing on FNC.
For Gutfeld!, October marked the show’s second-highest-rated month since the show’s launch, another sign the show is quickly becoming a force in late night:

New Challengers Fail to Make Inroads on FNC’s Hannity Perhaps the most interesting time period in prime time at the moment is 9 p.m. ET, where the longest-running host in all of cable news, Sean Hannity, is facing two new rivals: MSNBC’s Alex Wager, whose Alex Wagner Tonight has filled the gap left by Rachel Maddow’s move to one night a week, and CNN’s Jake Tapper, whose CNN Tonight with Jake Tapper debuted in October.
Hannity’s average audience of 2.7 million viewers was more than CNN and MSNBC combined, with Alex Wagner Tonight having its worst month since launch (1.425 million viewers and 134,000 viewers in the key demo) and CNN’s Tapper finishing a distant third with just 691,000 total viewers. That’s as much about the difficulty of drawing an audience for a new show as it is a statement about how far CNN’s overall prime time lineup has fallen. One good sign for Tapper: he jumped to second place in the key demo with 153,000 viewers—enough to beat MSNBC, but far from threatening Sean Hannity’s dominance.
The greedy Democrats love to shame-free market capitalists for making money, as we can see in this article about the ‘profits of energy companies’, which begs the question – why aren’t the Democrats ever worried about the profits of their political partners in DC, or their partners in Hollywood, or with how much their media partners make?
But the Democrats are only really ever concerned with the amount of money oil companies make, as they are now right before the November midterms, where Biden is likely to take a beating for soaring costs.
“Biden accuses oil companies of ‘war profiteering’ as he warns of excess profit penalties,” Yahoo News reported recently.
President Biden on Monday urged major oil companies to stop “war profiteering” and use record profits to boost domestic production as the White House looks to curb rising fuel prices ahead of the midterm election.
Biden accused oil and gas companies of profiting off “a windfall of war” in Ukraine, and rewarding their shareholders instead of helping millions of Americans who continue to face higher prices at the gas pump. The president called on energy producers to expand output, invest in new refining capacity and lower prices for U.S. consumers.
“If they don’t, they’re going to pay a higher tax on their excess profits and face other restrictions,” he said in remarks from the Roosevelt Room at the White House, flanked by Treasury Secretary Janet L. Yellen and Energy Secretary Jennifer M. Granholm.
“It’s time for these companies to stop war profiteering, meet their responsibilities in this country, give the American people a break and still do very well.”
Biden said his administration would work with Congress to explore potential penalties, but any new taxes are unlikely to muster enough support on Capitol Hill, where Democrats would need at least 10 Republicans to overcome a filibuster in the Senate.
The Associated Press reported that Biden would raise the idea of imposing a windfall tax after Exxon Mobil, Chevron and Shell reported record profits in recent weeks even as gas prices remained high across the country.
Exxon Mobil, Chevron, Shell, BP, ConocoPhillips and TotalEnergy earned more than $100 billion in profits over the last two quarters, more than they earned all of last year and more than two-and-a-half times what they earned in the same quarter of 2021, according to a White House official.
Biden and Democrats have sought to blame energy giants for soaring gas prices that may have helped dim their chances in next week’s midterm election, which will determine whether the party retains control of Congress.
The administration has struggled with the political fallout of high fuel costs — which surged to a national average of $5 per gallon over the summer — as they look to sell voters on Biden’s economic record.
The American people need to think about why the Democrats care so much about the profits of gas, and never talk about the profits of fake news networks.
Americano Media’s latest national poll of Hispanics in the United States ahead of the upcoming midterm elections.
The results of this national survey indicate that the Republican Party may be on the cusp of a profound Hispanic voter realignment, adding a last-minute burst of undecided voters worried about the economy.
Some key results include:
With 43 percent of respondents self-identified as Democrats and 27 percent as GOP, Democrats lead the congressional generic ballot 50/36, with 14 percent undecided and split similarly among the two parties and independents. This is a remarkable finding, considering this 14-point margin is down from 30 percent in 2020 and 40 percent in 2018, according to exit polls.

Among this largely Democrat population, President Joe Biden is the only national politician with a positive image rating. Biden predictably wins a rematch with Donald Trump in a hypothetical 2024 race, 54/37 – remarkably, only half his margin over Trump with Hispanics in 2020.
In a theoretical primary matchup Trump beats Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, 48/30. Still, according to Americano’s Florida-focused research, DeSantis beats his gubernatorial re-election opponent Congressman Charlie Crist among Hispanics 49/45. While DeSantis has a 52 percent favorable and 44 percent unfavorable rating with Florida Hispanics, Crist is at 40/46, proving many Hispanic Independents and Democrats plan to vote for DeSantis.
A significant majority of Hispanics (71%) consider the country headed in the wrong direction and that the economy is also headed in the wrong direction. The economy matters most to this demographic, with inflation and jobs logging in at 40 percent of people’s top priority. Among Hispanics, the economy completely eclipses the wedge social issues the media often focuses on. In fact, by a 65/31 margin, inflation is more important to deciding their vote than abortion.
The Americano poll, conducted October 11-20 by Fabrizio-Lee and Associates, interviewed 1,200 Hispanic registered voters and has a margin of error of 2.8 percent. The team also oversampled Florida Hispanic registered voters to discover valid answers to Florida-specific questions. Interviewers conducted the poll using landline, mobile phone and text-to-online methods. The poll was offered in English and Spanish, with 78 percent responding in English and 22 percent in Spanish.
