NEW ORLEANS – Scientists provided a new estimate for the amount of oil gushing from a ruptured well in the Gulf of Mexico on Tuesday that indicates it could be worse than previously thought.
A government panel of scientists said that the ruptured well is leaking between 1.47 million and 2.52 million gallons a day of oil. That is an increase over previous estimates that put the maximum size of the spill at 2.1 million gallons per day.
UPDATE 3 :Appearing on the Alex Jones Show earlier in the week, pastor Lindsey Williams said that gases — Hydrogen Sulfide, Benzene, Methylene Chloride, and other toxic gases — pose a greater risk to human health than the presence of oil washing up on Gulf of Mexico beaches. Williams said the EPA is not reporting on the amount of gases escaping from the BP oil gusher. The end result of this failure will certainly be grave illness, death, and birth abnormalities. Unfortunately, we’re left to our own devices; each of us must take it upon ourselves to communicate this urgent matter to our fellow citizens. The past few days I’ve been bombarded from several directions about “Volatile Organic Compounds”. My strong suggestion is for you to read up on the term, and learn more about the impact of chemicals that are causing an alarming & significant health risk to residents near the British Petroleum oil spill. The facts are out there, and undeniable. The levels of toxic, if not lethal VOC’s in the atmosphere are barreling towards the Gulf Region’s population, and; at minimum; any significant weather pattern shift northward will expose the entire eastern region of the United States to cancer causing VOC’s. The EPA has tested the highest concentrations, and public reports indicate “off the charts” readings of unacceptable levels of carcinogenic compounds.
Before I get to my “beef” about the hazards, let me remind you that I’m not a news reporter, nor am I politically correct — I cater to absolutely know one but my readers who are sometimes shocked at my perspective on some topics. If you’ve ever been “shocked” by one of my topics, I’ll also remind you that I didn’t create some of the nightmare scenario’s we’re all presently living in. I’m not a scientist, nor am I a government official charged with protecting & serving the public, so I challenge ~THEM~ to do all the fact checking, research & mass communication to inform the public. This post is merely an alarming report on public official negligence & incompetence.
—Enough chit-chat. Let’s get to the point that British Petroleum, the US Government, and the news media refuses to address. Based on the available data; these entities are aware that people will die from exposure to these VOC’s. If they are not, or claim they are not aware; then they should immediately be fired and arrested for criminal negligence. SPECIAL NOTE: Federal Law Enforcement needs to start doing their job as well; lives are at stake; they can’t keep throwing their hands in the air & saying “…oh well, this is a civil matter…”.
As I learn more about “Volatile Organic Compounds” (VOC’s), I’m discovering that this is the single most important risk facing residents near the British Petroleum oil spill — the lame-stream media, U.S. Government, and of course, British Petroleum have neglected to inform the public, but I’m confident that the US Government’s failure is directly attributed to incompetence, not any conspiracy theory — I’d be giving them more credit than they deserve if they were to be ~that~ smart.
What pisses me off even more is that there are volumes of information scattered throughout the internet about E.P.A. tests, air quality warnings, human health risk warnings, and critical information that should immediately be getting to the general public via the media, but it seems that the news media and government is blatantly refusing to inform the public of these risks.
Since your illustrious government-controlled news media neglects to tell you, let me do everyone a favor & break the news. The toxic and lethal organic compounds being released into the atmosphere will cause cancer, death, and birth deformities. Scientists from the private sector as well as the E.P.A. already know of the particulates in the air; the extreme risks to human health; and have quietly published their findings on the internet; as if to protect themselves against future accusations that the public was never informed or warned.
It’s as irresponsible as if your local fire department showed up at your home at 2 am; saw a fire burning in the bushes in front of your house; then folded up a hand written note & placed it under your front door mat that read, “Dear Sir/Madame, we noticed a huge fire in front of your house & wanted to alert you to the danger and certain death if the fire is not contained.” Then, you wake up & discover that the bush fire has torched the entire front of your home — the fire department arrives to put out the inferno & says, “…we warned you at 2 am…didn’t you read the note we buried under your door mat? It’s your responsibility to check for warnings under your door mat, per the very fine print we listed on our website, anytime there is imminent death or destruction, the county fire department has an obligation to immediately inform you via a hand written note under your mat —- it’s your responsibility to check for notes under your mat….”
Lethal & toxic levels of hydrogen sulfide, benzene, methalene chloride are floating in the air over the oil spill. There’s a very high probability that the residents who will certainly be exposed to the air surrounding the spill will die, suffer from debilitating diseases, as well as witness numerous birth deformities as a result.
Why aren’t people being told? Better yet; how could our government officials be so arrogant to pocket taxpayer dollars and refuse to at least serve the public by at least forewarning them. Could it be that they don’t want the economy to be harmed, so therefore they’ll keep things quiet?
How could our government — the taxpayer funded government — fail to tell the citizens who pay them?
For now, continue to send your taxes to the US Government without any accountability whatsoever, and also continue to purchase chips, Coca-Cola, and gasoline from British Petroleum. Most importantly, for now you will have to do your own fact finding & research — the information is out there, you just have to go find our for yourself that every breath you are taking is going to kill you slowly. By “their” standard; I guess for “national security” reasons my blog informs a relatively small number of innocent civilians — pass the word on to the unknowing residents in the Gulf, but do it quietly……………………we don’t want to cause a panic by telling people what they should know.
