Dem Runs For US House on Legalizing Porn and Prostitution, Makes Porno Video For Campaign

3 min read

Republicans and Democrats are not the same. At a time like we are in now- legalizing pornography and prostitution is not on a list of important issues for the US House, for Republicans. It just isn’t.

A “liberal independent” congressional candidate, who is a registered Democrat in New York, recently starred in a porn video to demonstrate his “commitment” to sex positivity, which is a platform issue for his campaign.

Mike Itkis, who says he wants to decriminalize and legalize sex work and claims that his latest political theater shows that he doesn’t just want to talk about pornography, he wants to be about pornography.

And so the third-party candidate running in Manhattan’s 12th District published his own sex tape on Pornhub—as a 13-minute video of him having sex with porn actress Nicole Sage.

“If I would just talk about it, it wouldn’t demonstrate my commitment to the issue,” the 53-year-old candidate said. “And the fact I actually did it was a huge learning experience, and it actually influenced items on my platform.” .

According to his website Sex Positivity is defined as:

“Domestic Policy – Sex Positive Approach

Sexual rights

  • Actively oppose the conservative idea that sex should only happen between a man and a woman who are married to each other
  • Right to NOT become a parent in case of pregnancy – redefine abortion debate as a right to unplanned sex

Abortion rights for women

  • Men should not be required to support biological children without prior agreement

End government involvement in marriage – no discrimination based on marital status

  • Decriminalize sex between consenting adults
  • Protect privacy rights
  • Define consent
  • End adultery laws
  • Decriminalize and legalize sex work

Make sexual rights explicit – do NOT rely on privacy or free speech rights

His other issues are.

“LIBERAL INDEPENDENT CANDIDATE. Supports abortion rights, gun control, equal economic opportunities for everyone, strong social safety nets, and appropriate government control over markets to assure fair trade practices.”

He said he had never had sex on camera before making the video and described himself as an introvert.

“I’m kind of a nerd who doesn’t like to be the center of attention if I can avoid it. But I thought the issues I’m trying to address are so important . . .  I wanted to have my issues talked about in some way,” said Itkis, who is running in New York’s newly redrawn 12th Congressional District.

Itkis, a registered Democrat whose bio describes him as “Not married. No kids. Not celibate. Atheist,” said in a statement that making the sex tape was “one of the most meaningful experiences of my life.”

“One of my three primary goals is to advance sex positivity, including several proposals for legislation designed to explicitly protect sexual rights by ending government involvement in marriage, the right to not become a parent in case of pregnancy, a right for women to terminate an abortion, decriminalization of sex between consenting adults, a nation-wide definition of consent, and legalization of sex work,” Itkis said.
